I'm looking to get into a 1/8 scale truggy and have been looking around but am unsure what to get, I know I'm probably gonna have to go with OFNA, Losi or HPI as that is what my local hobbyshop carries and I dont want to have problems getting parts. I'm really unsure which one to buy though as I really dont know that much about them, I've have 2 nitro rustlers (one very heavily modded) and a Tmaxx and have just sold a Savage I had that I was very unhappy with as everything seemed to fall apart and in general it just seemed poorly made to me, this has led me to be very pesamistic about HPI trucks in general. I'm looking to by a roller or kit that I can build over the winter but to be honest I'm kinda overwelmed as they are alot of money and I dont know much about them. I was hoping some people would be able to offer some advice as to what would be best for me (Brand loyalties aside guys).

Everyone is going to give you their opinion. and we all have differing ones.

I just built a Hyper St Pro and I love it.....it fits me. Wen I was looking i started with the same thinking ..what can I get parts for locally ......so it was Losi or the Ofna line.

What pushed over the edge really was the quality of the kit ...for the $$$$.

do some home work you will find what you want.

I run a Jammin CRT and I love it. What led me to that choice was simple... my LHS stocked the parts and that meant no waiting a week for parts. That, and at the time it was one of the better Truggies. I know the CRT is built well, and I have heard some folks that really like the losi. Kyosho makes a nice truggy too. The Jammin/Ofna line is really good in my opionion. Like Talonone said.. do your research and let us know what you are leaning towards and we can help from there. Picking any RC is a personal choice. If you have any questions just give us a shout and we will be glad to help.

I run Mugen, but aside from me being loyal to Mugen right now, I will say the Hellpile is just that. I know a couple of guys that ran/run them and they are a nightmare to keep together.

Well I guess I'm gonna give the Jammin a try, looked at the trucks and couldnt decide after eliminating the Hellfire. I kept a close eye on Ebay and foung a Jammin CRT roller for 150 bucks so I think thats a good deal and a good place to start to buld a better truck.

wow can not beat that price congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jammin crt definately is the best choice jammin is the king of race class cars so is ofna
but mugen is also very good

X1 CRT rtr or Pro. (rtr is still pretty good) Or look for an Ofna Mutilator. Outstanding. (and they come with a great .32)

I just got the Hyper ST RTR, its a great ride, very fast, some hickups with that machstar .28 engine but otherwise a great ride
