Hey what's up everyone? I was wondering if I can spray a my new body with Spaz Stix aerosal mirror chrome paint and with pactra metallic green aerosal paint with out it fish eyeing up or messing the rest of the paint up?

Both are a lacquer based paint and should be fine to use on the same body as long as you let them dry thoroughly between the layers.

Try to apply a few LIGHT coats of each, let them dry, and contiue with a few more coats. You might want to shoot a light coat of red, or blue, IF you have some. Then to finish this hit it with some RC 262 Indy Silver. Indy Silver is very tough paint

paint

Well this is what I got going on. I got a Proline GMC TopKick body and there is some stuff like the fuel tank in the bed and the exhaust stacks and some other small pieces I would like to paint them chrome with that spaz stix mirrior finish and the rest of the body with Pactra Metallic green. I'm going to paint the chrome first and then back it with the spaz stix black backer. I just wanted to know if I paint the pactra metallic green over the spaz stix black backer if it will mess the spaz stix chrome paint up.

Once the backer is on and dry you should have no problems. I like to put the chrome paint on last so that the whole project can be backed at one time. Another tip is to use a very thin coat of the chrome before backing it with the black.

If I have any doubts on how a certain order of paints or how a color combo works, I try it on the inside of a clear 2-liter bottle that has been cleaned and scuffed like I normally do for any project. It's also a great way to experiment with various painting techniques on the cheap.
