Need advice on 1st drag car

Hey guys, I was wondering what would be a good rtr or kit for under 300$. I’ve seen the drag slash, but I have no idea if it’s a good drag car. I have a slash already too lol.

Ps: this would include all electronics. I have battery’s already though.

AMain still has some of the Associated DR10 Team Kits for $149, but they don't come with electronics tires or body.

At your price, maybe look for the DR10 or Losi 22S drag car, they were both being closed out last year pretty cheap, but don't know if any of the on-line sellers still have any.

There are no online sellers with 22s, at least ones that I would trust. There are some pirates selling new RTRs on ebay, most are asking $500 or more. If you are patient you can get a gently used one for a decent price. I picked up a 22s Camaro complete with even a battery for $182.

I have seen that kit, but didn't realize it was that big. For whatever reason, I assumed it was a little guy. I might just have to grab that in the near future.

I remember back in the late 80's, I raced with a guy who was building 1/10th scale dragsters that ran on 1 to 3 Estes rockets. You needed a really big area. Things were insane. He was machining the entire rear section out of aluminum. The rockets would slide into a pocket at the back. Totally naners to run.
