Hopefully I'm not disappointing you all with my low budget build, I don't have a lot of cash and try to work with what I can afford or have on hand, I'm just thankful to be apart of this great hobby with you guys that have much more experience than I, again thanks for your patience.
Never disappointed here bud. Do what you can to it and having fun is the important thing.

It's not at all disappointing. If you can make it what you want, go for it. I have a toy grade 1/16 forklift that I would like to hop up some day, but I will probably never get to that project.

Honestly, it impresses the chit out of me when guys can turn a toy grade RC into something very cool.
I love the challenge. I have a little excavator at the dump, replaced the receiver and transmitter.
Someday I'd like to try and beef it up some. Right now it struggles scooping up air.

Yes it is!

This truck actually looks a tad better than most Walmart toys. Maybe it didn't look as nice when it was new. But as long as you keep in mind the drivetrain isn't designed to handle a bunch of power, you can make it into whatever you want. @JustnWynn did an amazing job modifying one of his toy grade RC's.

Yes sir, it won't be a powerhouse , just something a little better than it was.

Have you torn the drivetrain down? I'd be really curious to see what the diffs look like in this.

Not till it's broken, ha ha, it does have steel axles fr.& rear.
Well, it's always a good idea to tear it down to the diffs and clean and re-lube everything. Seeing as how I can't even find what chassis this is, finding diffs might be impossible. And a little preventative maintenence goes a LONG way in RC. Especially making sure the diffs are lubed. Even in RTR RC's like Traxxas and Arrma, it's a very good idea to check, because they are typically very poorly lubed, if at all. And being thos started as a toy grade RC, I'd be surprised if it is even lubed at all.

oh yeah, I wasn't thinking that far ahead, as usual.

Even if I buy a brand new RC, I tend to tear the diffs out of it and inspect them. Check any bearings. And relube everything. If you have some red synthetic like Mobil 1, it is safe for plastics. Stay away from white lithium type grease, or anything petroleum based as it melts plastic over time.

Thankyou that's a good tip, i didn't know that of petroleum.

Hello, I'm currently working on my revo, waiting parts and money, so in between I've been working on this yellow truck, unidentified, a few months ago I bought it as a roller, no tires, no body-electronics, anyways, the seller said it was a robby gordon dakar 2wd slash, I knew by the picture it wasn't 2wd with the mid mounted engine, ((so can you help me with the manufacturer or model of this 4wd? )) I can't figure it out, one reason I did get it was the support bars installed on both upper and lower a arms to the body pan.
THANKYOU FOR LOOKING.

That's a helluva lot more wiring than is necessary, I guarantee.

Man, i didn't want to but I did, pretty much expected, tore apart rear differential plastic disposable, of course, the good news is, it had some light grease in it. ha ha, so I'm sure it will squirt out like a goose on the run when I put the hammer down!

Not with that attitude!

That looks similar to the hpi e10 diffs. 🤔🤔🫡🫡
