Hey Guys,

It has been a really long time since I messed with electrics and I am in need of a decent soldering iron. Does Weller still make them? If so what model do you recomend? Or, if I can save money and just get one at Radio Shack that would be ok too. Thanks

Tom

Thanks Zandor,

That thing looks great. Are you happy with it? Does it perform everything that you need it to? Thanks

It works great...Gets hot and stays that way.And it is very easy to change out tips.
If you have a bench its even better. The lead off the power supply too the iron is long enough to reach across the bench...And with the muitable heat setting your good to go with just about any solder size:breakdown

Cool! Thanks Zandor. I will look at picking one of these up in the next couple of weeks. I am still a month or so off from actually getting the T4. Thanks again for all the info.

"Check out this station...Eddy turned me on to this about a year or more ago..."

Ditto. I did the same move after Eddy found the deal. Great unit, and it accepts the Hakkp tips, too.
