I grow less and less fond of NASCAR everyday. Hey just to add, Juan has done a great job so far of keeping with his ways of tearing poop up!
 
I really don't think I will be watching much if any nascar racing next season. Mainly due to the fact that they are allowing Toyota to run in Nextel cup is just rediculous! Nascar is an american sport, and should remain as such. So with the introduction of Toyota I will be watching and caring far less about this sport.

He may **edit** himself but he'll do it while cashing that big ass check and shining his Nextel Cup trophy...I love it when guys like you keep pissing and moaning about him cheating and his owner is a conman..I think your the whiny little bitch..Let it go or don't..it doesn't matter what you say it will not change the fact that JJ won the championship...:celebrate: :celebrate: And if he cheated the entire season he did a damn good job of not getting caught...I congratulate him and the 48 team for that..

I'm boycotting nascar, and speed channel, and fox in general. (except for simpsons, american dad, family guy, ect).

Why?

Because, back when speed channel was speed vision, it was awesome! Every motorsport, far and wide, short of European semi-truck racing.
Then, fox bought speedvision, molested it, then re-named the bastard child, speed channel. They did this so they could have another outlet for their nascar. Because of that, they show almost nothing but nascar now, and got rid of all the good racing...WRC, Dakar Rally, Baja coverage, FULL lemans coverage (I remember when speedvision showed the entire 24-hour race, now, a 1-hr. recap).

P.S, please don't tell me it was fox that bought tech tv and molested that too...



Now, I'm not trying to start anything with the nascar fans on this site, but it's simply not for me, and I think it's shady that fox would buy a network to show stuff they don't have time for, and thus, further the stereo-type that americans are close-minded and only care about what goes on in our own country.

Nascar blows,After last season i barelly watched it. Now after seeing bit's and pieces of this season. I've gotten rid of all my item's misc crap that supports the sport. What a blow, i can't beleve they take a sport that was so great,then it just get's poop on. Soon enough everysports gonna be gone. Thank you media
 
Its not just the media.....A big part of it can be blamed on That dushe bag helton & Citgo They alone wanted big changes to happen before they put up a chunk of change.
 
I'll say this, they really need to take a good hard look and redo the points system. It's a joke and every other form of motorsports agrees on that. That is why NASCAR isn't held so high outside the USA. I never used to miss a race, the world stopped on sunday for me. Now I hardly ever catch a race live and when I TiVo it, I end up watching the last 10 laps if that.

Here's my take on the 2006 season

Nascar needs to do away with the chase and let them race to the end, if you win you win...if you loose you loose. Smoke proved that this year! IMO it ranks up there with doing away with Winston and going to Nextel....Sounds like a sissy race.

I have hated him from the first time I saw him but for some weird reason I started liking Tony Stewart???

Jeff Gordon didn't win and that sucks! Proves you can't drive and tell the crew chief what to do.

Toyota coming to Nascar is just wrong.

And finally markallen needs to learn to let this poop go...People hate the 24 but you don't see me crying about it

Remember kids, the mark of true sportsmanship is not in how well you lose, but how well you win.
I give JJ credit for winning. I listened to him a couple times yesterday and today and he's good with the media. His crew chief is a prick, though.
And my closing thoughts on this season...
The Chase is a 50-50 thing. Brings another layer of competition just trying to get into it. But it sucks in the long run because it shuts people out. Tony is a prime example this year. If there were no chase, he would have finished high. And his wallet would have thanked you. Get rid of it. It's not the NFL.
Toyota. Meh. Foreign manufacturer in a US league. I could live without that. They won't be a threat for many seasons anyway. Not with Michael Waltrip piloting that program. Unfortunately, they'll probably insist on putting those stupid fart-can exhausts on their cars so they'll sound like a bunch of lawn mowers racing out there.
So let's bring back some more US tags. Remember when Pontiac, Mercury and others raced? Bring back more tags.
CAUTION: SEXIST REMARK COMING... OK, we know that you race fast cars. And because of that, you get hot chicks. And we know that if you didn't race, you couldn't get laid if you had to (ain't that right Greg Biffle and Kyle Busch?). But if they ain't an official part of your crew, get them off pit road. Let they guys do their work without you saddlebags having your little tantrums and emotional BS in the middle of a race. K? Thanx.

On that note, thanks for a good season. Hope next season brings better cars, better drivers and a better competition. My only question is....now what the hell am I going to do on Sundays?

Isn't NASCAR, NEXTEL, WINSTON, ETC all the same??
 
I have no problems with nascar expanding to toyota and the such. What the hell is the big deal? We all know that its only body panels and markings. The chevy's might actually have a chevy block but thats about it. Nascar is like the tmaxx you take a piece of poop car and change all the parts! I like the sport and will watch regarless if toyota, ford, chevy, honda, pontiac, etc!
 
Same but different! NASCAR is the sanctioning body. Nextel is the series sponsor, which used to be Winston (RJ Reynolds). Busch is like a minor league then you have the late models, modifieds, Winston West, etc.
 
SCREW Nascar next season!

1 - The Chase, very bad idea imo, just ask Tony. Half the guys in the chase would not even have finished in the top ten had it not been for that rediculous point system.

2 - Toyota, GET THE HELL OUT!

3 - Cheaters can prosper

I'm going back to NHRA which was my first racing love in the first place, big bad hemis making 7000 hp!!!. Until they do something to undo the mess they have made out of nascar I'm just not interested anymore.
