NASCAR @ Lowes Question

His job is to be a promoter. That doesn't necessrily mean the track needs to be faster. That track was just fine the way it was before, it offered great competitive racing and sold out every single race. Tell me who's being greedy here... Hey Humpy, If it ain't broke, don't fix it! As for the drivers and chiefs... well, they were all at the same track using the same tires so as far as I'm concerned it's just as even up as it can get. zippy got it right so what's everybody elses problem?

I don't have a problem with them going 190 at Charlotte, that's fine, it's racing. In fact there is nothing wrong with the track the way it is now. The fact is that if they are going to run as hard as they can they need a different compound. The only thing I don't like are the midseason changes and instant rules. I feel that these track owners shouldn't be allowed to make major track changes like that mid season. But that's going back to Nascars "kiss everybody's ass" policy. Nascar has been around way too long to be this unrefined.

How did Zippy get it when Stewart blew a tire too?The guys who got it right were the ones not blowing tires..Or the drivers not pushing the car too hard..
Biffle said he was doing about 80% till the end but he still couldn't keep up with that Lowes Chevy.....I'm really glad a Roush car didn't win..

Hey markallen the only reason these guys are hating on JJ and Gordon is because they wish the driver they pulled for was that good! Gordon record speaks for it self, and now his protege is kicking ass so they have to hate him too. Yes they do bitch and complain but no more than Stewart or JR...nobody cries like JR. I loved watching his daddy race but he sucks!

I definitely agree with making a set of rules and sticking with them. It's stating to get like every other sport with free agents, you never know what to expect.

I've been a 24 fan for a while, but if he doesn't make changes, I'm out. I think he's a great driver. Pampered? Yeah, but I think all the stars are becoming that way. But his team sucks. How many times did he qualify well and then just slowly work his way to the back of the pack? Bad in-race adjustments. Crappy decisions. That all falls on his chief. He has to go. There are many better. No doubt. My GF (a Stewart fan) was laughing during the race because they were pushing Jeffy backwards down pit road and she said that was just about right.
It's a shame because many good drivers were taken out of contention because of the tire issue. And I hate to see guys put out of the race for something like that. They said nearly every team had tire problems that night. And there's nothing less thrilling than knowing the whole field is only racing at 80% just to survive. Sure, there were a lot of cautions and stuff. But what happened between the cautions was pretty dull.

like candyman stated i too am a diehard gordon fan ,been watching him up thru the ranks of sprinters ,busch and big leagues ,but he needs to replace his chief .
this isnt any reason for this guy to be running this way ,makes you wonder whether or not is was a good decission to buy into the game and own cars and poop like that ,i know i would not want to waste money buy totally trashing 100,000 dollar cars and stuff .
think about it the owner drivers except for a few do not run like they did when they were just drivers
as for this past weekends race ,yes there were alot of excellent cars taken out from tire issues ,but to me thats set-up problems
maybe i am talking out my butt here too ,but they (24 team)need to redo things and get the acts together ,same as jr's team

Couldn't have said it better myself. They need to let NASCAR return to what it was meant to be. Celebrate the guys behind the scenes that work on the cars. The folks that set the car up week in and week out. Not just about the driver... which is important, but all these cars that are basically the exact same car, just some have ford, chevy, or dodge painted on. It has gotten sterle, NASCAR. I love it, and will continue watch it, but NASCAR is so concerned about parity that they forgot about what made NASCAR so popular. Who cares if the one driver laps the whole field, it just goes to show how well they set the car up. Now it sucks if you are one of the other 42 drivers but hey maybe you can learn. I can remember Earnhardt having a lead of like 40 seconds on the field at Daytona, and he lost the race to a cut tire, in turn 4. Dericke Cope won the race. (Which I wish they would stop saying he was a Daytona 500 champ! He won the race by default... well sort of. ) )
Anyway NASCAR needs to go back to their roots. Buy it on Saturday, race it on Sunday.

Cause Johnson would have more than likely whooped his ass too..But we will never know..But Stewart is the only one to win there other than Johnson in the last 5 trys.

Candyman, 38 racin, Gordon will be back on top next year. He needs to get his head out from under those skirts and start worrying about racing again. Robby Loomis is an idiot but Jeff has proved he can win with him, but he has to keep his head in the game and tell Loomis what to do.

I HATED JEFF GORDON WHEN HE DROVE FOR BILL DAVIS IN BUSCH, HATED HIM WHEN HE WAS TEARING UP CON MAN SHEETMETAL IN 92 AND THE SAME GOES FOR PANSYBOY JOHNSON AND WONDERBOY KNAUS, THEY CAN SUCK ME!

Working these weekend nights is screwing with me watching the races, plus I knew Jeff wouldn't be in the chase so I just sleep all day on Sundays now LOL

Glad to hear his will have a new chief next year!
