Mystery 20amp ESC problems!!

Hey guys i picked up a roller Team Associated RC18MT and i wanted a cheap fun project to build so i ordered a brushless motor from hobbyking and a blue board mystery 20 amp esc and i can't figure this thing out for the life of me! when i plug the battery in it doesn't do anything but when i pull the trigger on the transmiter it beaps twice and does nothing else, when i let go of the trigger the motor spins like crazy then slowly comes to a stop.. it doesn't do anything else untill i pull the trigger and let go again and it spins up then slowly comes to a stop.. The instructions are super confusing on how to program this esc i do exactly what it says but it will only beep twice when i pull the trigger thats all..

Sorry this is so long its just driving me crazy lol

Yea it came with the instruction but it doesn't do anything like the instruction say.. I even tried for about an hour today and it just does the same thing over and over again... does anyone know if i can use a program card for this esc?? If not can anyone recomend a CHEAP Brushless ESC i dont even care if it does lipo as long as it has forward and reverse and it is easy to set up

I have the same ESC on my RC18 and it worked just fine after I programed it with the instructions. It was about a year ago but I do remember that I had to do it twice. Not sure if it was picky or if I messed up the sequence.
