Hi peeps!! So I picked up this TS4N a couple of weeks ago for cheap.. It was advertised as having a problem with the carb, as he couldn't get it to pull the fuel up.. I figured that the tank might be leaking or blocked.. It was blocked at the nipple, as was the carb.. So 5 mins with a little wd40 and my air compressor and she was running :D

So I bought some new rims and I'm not sure what tyres to get, slicks or treads? I will be mainly just hooning the car around in a car park.. what do you guys think? I see HPI do some nice tyres..

Cheers, Dan.

Welcome to RCNT.
It sounds like it's running really good.
LOL at the tires! I think you shredded some foam carpet tires by running on asphalt.
There are different types of compound, depending on what you want to do. Hard rubber for drifting, softer for track and also slicks. Obviously, you don't want to run the foams. :hehe:

Haha.. Nah they were rubber.. Just old and a bit brittle I guess.. I have given them some proper abuse though.. Many dounts :D

It does run really good.. That was the first time I had it running.. Now I have tweaked it a bit it really does fly.. Nice amount of smoke, sounds great when it hooks second gear.

Pretty sweet i like that body. i wish i could find me a nice on road for cheap. everyone where i live runs pretty much strictly off-road which makes complete sense considering in louisiana unless you live in a new sub davision or somethin likes are your road is full of cracks and pot holes at least where i live lol

Haha.. I'm lucky to have an industrial estate 2 mins away with lots of nice big smooth car parks.. Also only a few miles away from Snetterton RC track.. Me and a couple of mates plan to run there soon.. :D

How those tires working out... I can't find a rubber tire that last if it has any traction... I've been using grp and contact foams on the street.. They seem to last a lot longer and tons more grip .. Been running 30mm 37shore rear and 26mm 35shore fronts lately ... Gonna try out a set of 45s all around tomorrow .. They seem to take bumps better than rubber (that I've had) but if anyone knows of any that last and grip I'd love to know ! I've seen some nice looking 1:8 scale street tires but I'm runnin 1:10

Had a really good run.. The tyres do offer a lot more grip than I had previously and after 4 tanks still look like new. Winner :D

No interest? I have ordered some new parts :D

Carbon radio tray/upper deck, Carbon rear shock tower.. Body post holder set and servo mount kit.. Some of the parts are on back order so might be a while for I can fit them.. Pics after a little clean up after the last run. Prob hard to see in the pics but the tyres are still looking very good. I can't wait to get rid of that ugly ass rear shock tower and radio tray..

Looks great, runs great. Interesting idea with the batts on the bumper.
I like the rims. What are they?

Thanks :D

They are HPI Rays TE37.. I don't know if I am aloud to link to eBay here? I got them from there.. 0mm and 3mm offset for the rears. How do I embed a youtube vid? I tried searching with no luck.

Still waiting on the radio tray and body post mount kit.. All I want now is front arb/sway bar, front shock tower and some titanium turnbuckles.. :D

So.. Stripped and cleaned the shocks, refilled with fresh 40wt silicone.. Stripped and cleaned the diffs and refilled with fresh silicone.. 15k front 4k rear.. (they feel sexy now) :) Fitted the Aluminum bulkheads and rear carbon shock tower.. Can't fit the carbon radio tray until the servo mounting hardware arrives.. Tomorrow hopefully along with the body post mount set.. Ran it for a few mins at a time and let cool this aft.. Be ready to go WOT tomorrow.. :D
