:cool:That thing is crazy cool, Rolex. Do you have some more pics you can post of it?
I'd like to see more pics of Tiggadaboss' rig too.

Rolex nice looking rig! Nitrotrout, it is an Orion .26 wasp motor. I went with a BB because of the weight, and i changed the steering servo to a bigger one. Didn't see a need to change the others. Still trying to figure out how to post my pics. They are in my gallery though.

Eureka! I did it! Lol

It was a little in the back so i added a piggyback spring. It made the truck level. Was something different and i hadn't seen it on any others. ROLEX, I like the way your truck looks. What is the can on the back? Is that a custom flaccid chassis or something else?

SNOWMAN I am taking it apart to clean it and will be changing the a arms per your instructions. Thanks a lot. I'm looking to get an r/c tool kit, or is it better to go to Sears and buy craftsman? I have nothing but a hammer now andi don't wish to use that. Lol

I have the integy set and they are great! When I bought mine it didn't come with a 2mm so I just bought the 2mm shaft and swapped it out with the .5mm handle.

I also have a czech made modified pocket rocket. Clocked at 90 mph with a 200lb person riding it. My son has that also. We are going to restore it.

That's a good idea, I use the 2mm wrench quite a bit, a lot more than the .5mm
I also prefer the individual wrenches over the interchangeable wrenches, unless it's in a field box.

The chassis plate was a chrome kit. can't remember the company. Is a steel chassis chrome plated. Even in these photos it was dirty and needed polish.

I figured i would take a couple screws and hexs out and go get what i need. I had a bomb tool set but who knows where that thing is now. Still have to replace the battery packs and get new radios. can't find those either. Any suggestions?

You can buy individual hex drivers and replacement driver shafts as Non Crimen suggested. No need for a complete set if you don't need it.
Radios: I'd suggest Airtronics, Futaba, Spektrum, Traxxas TQi.. If you're looking to upgrade, upgrade to 2.4 ghz. You can run multiple cars off one radio or one car per radio.
Price ranges vary quite a bit so choose the radio with features that suit you best. Quite a selection to choose from. As far as battery packs go, I'd convert to a 5 cell rechargeable batter pack such as this..

I'll have to check but i believe i have the 2.4 Hz chips in both trucks. Thanks! Appreciate the tips. Oh here is that pocket rocket.

Chassis is the extended FLM. It's a Savage, not a Maxx.
I'm guessing this is the cylinder you're asking about...

On board ignitor system.

This is what I love about this hobby. I avoid alum like the plague (unless I'm switching from steel). ;-) To me "bling" is sleaked out with CF/graphite. There are sometimes alum is necessary for durability, and sometimes I just like the design of the part better. Example STRC alum hubs allow the pin to rotate in the arm via a set screw (instead of the stock carrier that flexes). The alum was a whopping .2oz heavier, but I offset it with a carbon ackerman. ;-)

I do like Ti in kingpins, hingepins, certain screws, and of course turnbuckles.

However, I greatly appreciate the work that goes into this type of stuff--regardless of material. Great job! You said you have a Ti "race truck?" That's what I want to see.

Man that little scooter is tiny. How old is your son? It looks a bit small for him too..lol

Nitrotrout he is 5. 6 in january. Loves everything that i do. Lol. We took the fairing off. Making a custom seat and gas tank. It was incorporated into the plastic. I love the father son projects. Didn't get to build stuff with my other children. This one is exactly like me. Wants to know how everything works, so I'm teaching him. I have pics of the titanium truck up @Nitro Nerd. I want to put a 3.3 on it.

[/COLOR @Nitro Nerd. My truck is chrome plated steel. Really heavy, i call it The Beast. I dont think they made aluminum parts in the early 2000's. Did they?

---------- Post added at 12:51 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 AM ----------

[/COLOR @Nitro Nerd the titanium truck is posted in this same forum. (Over 10 years old) is the title. I bought then both in the early 2000's. Had a new era pro drag truck but................... Still mad about that one.

@Rolex sounds like something i would do. Lol

I recognize all the parts on the bling truck, they are aluminum.
No one ever made chrome plated steel parts that I know of.

If you interested in selling or trading (I have lots) the suspension arms off of it LMK. I live in Sugar Hill so we could meet up or you could come up to the Old Sugar Bowl when the weather gets better and run some stuff. Off-road, concrete oval, paved road course.:)

Oh ok. I was told it was chrome plated steel. Didn't think aluminum weighed that much. I'm getting it back together for my youngest son. He adores the truck. Gonna be fun introducing him to mt's.

If those are true UE Racer X arms and steering knuckles (need better pics to be sure) I wouldn’t let a youngster run it with those installed.
