wow, That Thing Is A work of art man I'm veary impressed with it can't wait to see:bow: it finneshed how much does that thing weigh

It's getting real close now. I just finished the last shock yesterday, and got them all mounted up last night, also mounted the steering servo. I still have a bit of work to do on the interior, I can't find a steering wheel, and the few attempts I made at making one failed miserably. Anyone got one from a JK that didn't use the interior let me know : I need to get to the geek shop to pick up some styrene, which I am hoping to do this weekend. I havent been able to paint the uel cell since our temps here have not got out of the teens in a month and it's just too cold to paint in the basement or garage, it was a bitch getting the shock body painted, I think I may pull them apart and try and find someone that can pc them white for me instead of the paint. And I still need an esc.

I also started working on the body, it needs a fresh coat of flat black, and some diamond plate accessories. and I am trying to find some lights that will work in the stangkillaSS YJ grille I bought for it. I have to get Joe at EEM to help me make a new front bumper for it too, I decided not to go with the stinger I made already.

I'll take a few pics today of where she at now.

well hurry up Joe, the suspense is killing me!!!

Update 1-21-09

Ok here ya go Lloyd :D

I needed someplace to mount a battery pack, I want to use a nih stick pack since lipo does not like water, so I needed someplace big enough. So I made a battery tray that could screw in between the two front shock mounting locations. I used some thin sheet aluminum, I cut some strips then bent them on a brake. I then sanded them and polished them to make them look better, then attached a styrene flat plate across the two angles with some 3m double sided tape. The battery fits perfectly there.

I have also been working on the interior. I made it all so it snaps in to place so I can easily remove the panels to work on anything I need to. The interior is still a bit rough an theres a bunch of stuff I am going to do, but I figured I would show where its at now.

I am also trying to decide if I want to use black screws in the rock rings or the silver ones.

I got the RC4WD R2 tranny installed, as well as the integy 35 turn motor and mip driveshafts.

very cool Joe!!! i like the battery tray...see you decided on silver screws on the rings... sure looks bad ass, can't wait to see it completed...

Actually I haven't decided yet, I have black screws on one side and silver on the other, I just can't make up my mind which way I want to go with those.

I prefer the black, myself. It accentuates the fact that they're real, rather than cast or machined into the wheel.

I know I asked before, but it was a long time ago. Where did you get the seats?

I am leaning towards the black myself, with the warn hubs I think it adds another dimension. The seats are actually cell phone holders, I got mine from Amazon, but I don't think they have them anymore.

The pads need a little tweaking to make them better, I'll figure out something though.

man, he sure did a great job on your rims too, just makes it pop all the more.

black rings with silver screws would be super duper sick!!!

not that you would want them but banana-head.com sells some rings, not black though, but that are scaled off of the Trail Ready bead locks for 1:1's...
