Since you are going to use the Rotostarter, I would suggest getting some decent packs for it. If you do intend to be on the street, I would suggest getting some on-road tires and rims. Sometimes its just hard to find a decent place to run so the street is the only option.

BTW..Reading your thread makes me want to get a Savage

I got a 3300 NiMh Venom batt, and I'm waiting for another to come in. These will probably be the same batts I'll be using to power the boat.
You know I had several Traxxas rigs in the past, but this one seems to be a major step up. I'm now at the point where I want nothing more than to fuel it and start it.
The track I used to run on is no longer there, I've also moved, and now it's 31 miles to another track. Well worth the ride, just to go play in the dirt. lol.

Update, update...........

New Dashboard, mounted on Diamond plate to match the rear deck.
Fender flares and roof flat blacked with plasti dip spray. (Thanks, NCNitro)

Titanium turnbuckles with new ends.

Filter just came in. Mounted on top with long lines.
It makes the return pressure flow smoother, and past
experience with other engines has been more consistent
idle as well as a slightly improved performance. I also
swung the air filter up and to the side where I have easier
access to change the filters.

Nice savvy, Rolex. Makes me wish I got one instead of my Maxx! Though I must say, those comments about the easter bunny are pretty true and justified lol.

More pink and yellow than at a rose farm!

LMAO!! I'm thankful for the ability to see in vivid living color. It looks so intense due to how I light it. I like it that way.

I had a couple of rustlers and then a Tmaxx for a few years. This was the next step up. It's what you'll get next, so you have it to look forward to.

Well, I WAS planning on getting an onroad rocket next but at this rate you'll force me into it. Though I might have to give my brother the maxx to convince dad to let me buy it.

Newest Upgrade

My alloy front steering blocks finally showed up after almost a month, so here's the latest add-on.

Recently I also added the bellows shock boots.

Man Rolex...are you EVER goiong to drive that thing.....or just drools over in front of Lawrence Welk DVDs........you LOVE that truck......not show IT a good time!!!!

Nice work my friend....keep the pics coming. Your attention to detail is incredible.

Very nice and colorful truck Rolex. It's missin one important color... brown! The roll cage; I'm guessing you used some good ol' Rustoleum on it?

NICE!!! They look awesome man...I'm jealous!!
Hey, shut up! YOU started it!

.....or just drools over in front of Lawrence Welk DVDs....
LMFAO!

I hope you're not referring to dirt.

I'm waiting for a few more parts to arrive, so it's not quite over yet. I won't be running it till springtime when it's nice and warm out. Even with my planes, I'm always VERY particular about proper break in.
I'm also waiting for a Dodge Power Wagon lid that will be the shelf queen display body. Paints are ready and waiting.

Man Rolex, if I had your rig my wife would be pissed and I wouldn't get any for months because I would remove the tv and put the rig in its proper display cabnet where anybody that comes in the house could see it. The heck with watching tv, everybody look at my rig. You need to wipe it down again, tooooo many people slobering on it.......lol

I'm sorry rolex lol. I just had to say it. But I know where your coming from, we have all been there, looking at the truck, looking at the screw, scratching are head going,"now where in the hell"! LOL

Bryson

TOO TRUE!!!. I just rebuilt my savage and I have about 5 screws that are still just sitting there and I followed my manual to every point...What the hell!

Man Rolex, I wish i could even put half the stuff you have on yours in mine. That thing is BEAUTIFUL!!! How much do you have in that thing so far?? Looking good man, oh sorry I just drooled all over it!

sorry I just drooled all over it!

No problem. I'll be upgrading the parts you got wet. lol
I just got the IMEX 44 series Blazer tires today. Wow are they wide. 4 3/4"
I need to order rims for them, and I'm waiting on a few more parts.
I haven't figured out the cost yet, but I'll let you know when I through adding and upgrading.
I love wrenching on these things, and since it's too cold to run it and break things that I can fix, I'm swapping out parts instead. I've got quite a collection of never been used black HPI stock parts.

So is there a way i can buy all them plastic parts from you??

Absolutely. Give me a few days to get everything together and take a pic. I'll figure out what I have, and drop you a PM

all that hopping up, you probably coulda just built the entire thing from aftermarket and saved $100.

LMAO. That's pretty funny. I just hope it's not right.

mind if ask the brand of the alluminum arms?

I'll have to double check but I think everything aluminum except the HPI polished pipe was from Team GPM, through rc-mall. I'm really impressed with their stuff. The wheelie bar was the first thing I got from them, and it's the best I've ever seen, bar none.
