tanks doesn't have a leak.. i checked that.. (after putting rims and foams on..) i am sealing the thing thursday but nothing I've dont so far has helped.. i think the drastic gear change has part to do with it i went from an 18t cb and 49t spur to a 15t cb and 52 t spur.. i think thats why it wont shift.. but it still should run right.. its like it takes off good then falls on its face.. HARD!!

try getting a different carb i use a s25 carb on my wasp and it works great

the carb is ok for the motor.. i have same setup on my buggy and it runs like a dream..

That is a big gearing change.

Spin the spur in both directions with the motor off. In one direction it should spin freely without moving the truck. In the other direction it should start to move the truck. Push the truck forward with the motor off. It should roll forward freely and if you lightly touch the spur you should be able to stop it from spinning. Push the truck backwards with the motor off. It should roll backwards freely and if you lightly touch the spur you should NOT be able to stop it from spinning.

Start the motor. Hold the truck with all four wheels off the ground at idle (or at brakes) and SLOWLY pull the motor to WOT and listen for a gear shift. Do NOT over rev with the wheels off the ground. If you do not hear a gear shift at high RPM shut the motor and open the shift point screw ½ a turn counter clockwise. Restart the motor and repeat the test. If you get lost set the shift point screw to 4 ½ turns out from lightly seated.

i got it to shift by holding it but it was rapped out i think i need to adjust the shifting.. but i gotta get it to run right first..

well i found a leak.. the darn screw that holds the carb on !!! i rtved around it and turned the shift like 2 turns ccw and it shifts and is running better but i ran out of time.. ill mess with it tommorow.. still dont have and wheelies.. it was running to lean cause it was at 290 without the body but it was at the end of the tank so i still gotta tune on it..
