for my aftershock here is what i plan on doing wth the shocks
1)losi TiN shafts

2)RC Raven progressive or yelow springs(already have the yellows)

3)shock boots

i think i will keep the aftershock plastic ones. at first i was going to get some lst2 blue aluminum ones for strength. but after searching around i dont see any problems with the plastic ones. i like em too as they are with the thread body

Thats a good setup, the only thing I'd change is outwears shock covers and maybe go for metal shock caps, the plastic shocks work fine and a lot of guys have been using them for racing because it saves a lot of weight but on the big hits sometimes you will blow the top o ring out because the plastic caps aren't as solid

If you get the RC Raven springs, let us know how it handles/feels in comparison to the yellows.

I have the blacks and yellows. The yellows are too stiff for my taste and the blacks still a bit soft for decent air. I mounted the shock bottom in the closest hole to the center. It softened the feel up quite a bit, but now it's top heavy and likes to roll over easier.

I went with LST2 shock off ebay (I think, been a while) on my aftershock. My plastic bodied ones all leaked since the day I bought the truck. They made for good spares for a while.

I ran the yellows on all four with the stock LST aluminnum bodies and caps. They NEVER blex. In fact it ever needed any part replaced. Just maintenance. I ran my old LST hard. Flipped it and landed on the top side many times no body on and it ran true. I would go that route again but leave the outerwears out unless you run in super dusty terrain.
