I want to make my own online r/c store. What manufacturer do you you think I should order from, and how much stuff should i get of each item to start off. I probally want to start off selling a couple at a time on ebay to find good prices to sell everything for, then make a ebay store, website or both. I know it will be hard work but I think it might be a good buissnes beacuse I love the hobby. What do you guys think. Also, feel free to say the idea isn't good if you rele think it isn't. I'm open to all opinions. Sorry for it being so long of a post lol.

Sorry but I want to get stocked up with items and start off on ebay first. Thanks for the offer

I don't know about an online store, but my neighbor opened an R/C hobby shop last year, and had to show a business phone, a business lease, a business license, and provide photos of the store before a distributor would even talk to him. The minimum for the first order was $5000.

Yeah my dad tried a couple of years ago to buy a lot of stuff and the minimum was 100 items. He needed to provide information about his ebay store, and what his price range was. I think it depends on the distributor.

Okay, I just got an e-mail back from RPM and they are willing to sell to me in bulk. We are still working out pricing, and quanity.

RPM is good start....but remember how many people out there sell it too...ask yourself why would someone buy from me instead of them??? usually it comes down to price.....keep price low do high volume and your set....not hard Right? LOL ....let us know how you do...

That is true, I will keep the prices low. I will also try to have good shipping prices, and if you win more than one of my auctions You only have to pay for one shipping cost for everything.

Also, What company's and parts do you recommend???

You should look into distributors like great planes and horizon. Start there and then make your way out to the smaller companies.

Theres alot of stuff youll have to cover before ordering stuff, Like Business Id numbers, Tax Id numbers and fun stuff like that. When I first started my shop, and started to sell rims, alot of the retailers make you pay to carry there products. JUST for Eagle alloys I had to pay a $2000 buy in, and that was just so I could be a legal vender for the wheels. And that was just one brand of rims that I carry! I had 7 grand stuck into just trying to sell the products before I ever saw a rim! Whatever you think it might cost to get started multiply that by 3 and that will be around the cost. Its hard as hell to start a buisness and to have inventory. I was told to not expect any profit for at least the first 3 years and it was no joke! The 1st three years were hard and I pushed out ALOT of money just to get my foot in the door, but here 6 years later, I'm still here, and finally starting to get some of the benefits of that past money spent. I suggest calling you states buisness bural (Sp) and they will be able to send you all the info ya need. Its gonna take ALOT of dough to get started, so unless ya have money to spend, its kinda hard to even get started... Sad but true.. Takes money to make money... Good luck!
