looks awesome but I'm not a fan of the talons...offroad is def the way i would go if i had a jato though...

Did you have to make any modifications to fit the rims/tires and what kind are they? I need to do the same thing to my Jato. Street running is going to seem boring....

Looks good, when those wear out look into the Proline Desperados or Badlands.

You should just have to adjust gearing to compesate for the size difference. The ones he's running are Talons on Traxxas All-Stars, you can get the full set from a Nitro Stampede.

I have the same rear tires, didnt have to really do much for gearing ... i do have a 1 speed how ever mainly because on dirt .... 2 speed is useless.. you dont need it. So i swapped out for a 1 speed. and the truck is so much fun right now....

The talons do have some slip on dirt .. just need to be choppy on the throttle on the take off then once you have control you can go wide open.. i mean almost no matter what tires you use ... the jato will spin em.. its just alot of power for a RWD truck.

Like he said they are Traxxas Talons on Traxxas All-Stars. So far, no modifications were needed.

I just put the Badlands on my T4 and while the T4 is a bit lighter than the jato they are a great tire so far. Its proving a bit difficult to keep the fronts planted on the ground but they have great bite in loose and hardpack and theres no give on blacktop. Its now a wheelie machine!!

Those wheels and tires are WAY too big for a Jato setup, I wonsider a 2.8 wheel/tire combo.

SchrodeMode, the Desperados are wheels, the Badlands are tires...

Thanks all. I already hate the talons and ordered a set of the badlands on the desperado rims for front and rear. No traction at all from the talons!

Yea, i tried talons too, they suck even on hard top. Think I'm going to try the 2.8 trenchers this spring, they look good. Anyone try them yet?

I ran both trenchers and badlands, and the badlands are way more badass, they roost and dig deep when you go WOT.
