Lets talk.
The savage has renewed my interest in rc so i am thinking about picking up another vehicle. I don't need another 4wd MT since i don't care to have 2 of the same style rc's. I would love another Baja 5b but its just too big to travel with and the parts for it are just insanely priced.

I definitely want something nitro powered since i am done running flashlights. I thought about on-road but i really don't have anywhere to run it so i am thinking about either a stadium truck, perhaps a slayer, or something else.

Give me some ideas and reasons why.

a slayer would be fun for sure imo...maybe a truggy/buggy 1/8th?

i thought about the buggy/truggy and i can get a 8ight roller really cheap but it seems kinda silly to buy a vehicle that was meant for racing and bash with it. I am sure the racing scene is a blast but i don't care to think when i am out bashing. Its my relaxation time where i just pull a trigger and watch my truck fly. There is a track where i am moving to and if i get into the truggy/buggy scene i am sure to get hooked and let it become more than a hobby.

if you like to watch your mt fly you will love to watch the buggy/truggy fly! They handle so much better and soak up all the stupid/crazy landings that you could ever imagine!

i don't know...... those are pricey for something to just beat around on.

maybe the ol crt.5 might be worth looking at. i loved the brushless version so maybe the nitro one would be fun too.

if i am going that big, i might as well get the baja.

I am thinking more along the lines of a little brother for the savage. something i can let someone else drive while i beat on the savage but good enough for me to have fun with too.

man this is tempting.

slap an OS .18 in there and have fun

then again, i can get the slayer for what the lhs pays for it. I am guessing thats around 250ish bnib. anybody know about the slayer? pro's cons etc? Looks like a pretty fun truck.

You say you don't want 2 of the same type of vehicle... I'm the same way. You say it would be something you may let somebody else drive... does this new rig need to be extremely durable?

I like your idea of a stadium truck, very different than a 4wd and should be lots of fun. I have a GT2 although I have not run it yet. I got mine specifically to race with but you can outfit them with RPM arms (mine has those) for durability. 1/10 ST's are not known to be ultra durable but if you're looking for something different it would certainly broaden your collection. Otherwise, I would suggest a RTR buggy. No truggy, you already have an MT and although a truggy handles better what does it matter if it's strictly a basher? You're MT will take the beating a truggy would and not be any less fun (or much more different IMO). On the other hand, even though a buggy is also a 4WD offroad like you already have, even as a basher they are pretty different and you dont' need to spend a boatload of cash to get a decent rig. If you want something that is very different I would go with something like an Associated GT2 RS RTR.

My picks would be either an decent RTR buggy like one of the ONFA's or a GT2 RS.

well i was hoping to win the lottos but rc addict spoiled that for me. :)
Why didn't you just fix up that RC10GT you gave away? 2wd off road is a different kind of fun from an MT.

i guess i could have done that. haha

Oh yeah, i can get a slayer with 5 tanks through it for $225 here locally. what do you think?

I've had a buggy and a ST in the past and both were very fun rigs. i bash only as well, but i loved them both.

an RPM built rc10gt is damn near bulletproof, and i had a stock hyper7 pcr that was a tank.

whats the consensus on the slayer?

i am really liking the looks of it. even though its a stinkin traxxas truck.

is that racing or bashing? What are you comparing it to? a buggy, savage, stadium truck?
I am going test drive one today and i'll buy it if it does ok.

Also, i could pick up an amazing revo with lots of work done to it and little run time for 350. picco 26 and all

Stadium trucks are definitly a blast to bash with, though the learning curve is steep going from 4WD to 2WD.. I've got a Pro.15 Nitro Sport (yeah, OLD) and that thing is surely fun! almost like dirt track racing with it! How about a Jato?

Picked up a like new slayer for 220 local. Pics tomorrow

hey kurt u picked that thing up in lafayette

I'm putting my battery change right now we need to gtg one day this week

no, i got it in tyler, tx. i was there yesterday. I am in broussard today. Do you want to bash tonight? We can run them from 7 till dark if you want. (you get off at 7 right?)

what time do you go to work
