Due to being diagnosed with multiple problems in my right lung, I can no longer work, and, currently, I have no real income, and no real support from family, so, I started a GoFundMe in the hope of being able to at least make my appointments until either SSI or the state make a decision on my financial help, which could take more than 6 months for a definitive answer. Currently, it hasn't been officially diagnosed as cancer, but, if I can get to my appointment on 10/17/2025 for my next biopsy, I'll have a definitive answer then. Even if it turns out to not be cancer, due to the issues already diagnosed, I may lose my right lung.

Hi, I started this fundraiser, Make my appointments., on GoFundMe and it would mean a lot to me if you’d be able to share or donate to it. https://gofund.me/6a4d5c400

I figured I would add a bit more background to all this. First though, I'd like to say, I'm not one to ask for sympathy or empathy or even help. I usually do everything by myself, but now it's coming back to haunt me. Anyway, ever since the fire a few years ago, it's steadily been one mess after another. Because I didn't have insurance, the fire wiped out my savings, then, they sent my job overseas, so I have been pretty much doing doordash and GrubHub since then to pay bills, but, about 3 months ago I started having serious breathing problems, culminating in what I'm dealing with currently. Because of the whole, not being able to breathe, and walking being difficult, it's been really hard paying even basic bills, but, I have been forcing myself to make what I can, and, because of it, I'm currently in the hospital under observation, because I have two bills due Sunday (car insurance and my phone), both of which I need because of my medical issues (my appointments are 56 miles from home, and medi-cab has already caused me to have to reschedule my biopsy twice), and, I way overdid it and now my entire upper right side hurts badly.

As someone who was fiercely independent for most of my life I connect with your story.
I used to be an independent contractor, I had an internal infection that also wiped me out a decade plus ago.

We're spoon feed this idea that we can all "pick ourselves up by our booth straps" and what not. The rugged individual who can do everything for themselves. It's a fantasy.

We all need assistance, help, friends, colleagues, etc. The saying "It takes a village" exists for a reason.

I understand asking for help can be difficult, but it seems you have tried your best to exhaust other options, including yourself.

I'll shoot something over to the link.

Best of luck on your journey
