My Friends Buggy Dies when he brakes..

We can't understand why his buggy dies when he hits the brakes even very slightly and if he Half throttles. We put a new piston and cylinder in bcuz his old one was destoryed but it does run and it is tuned but we just dont know why. Just FYI he has an 1/8 XTM X-Terminator. Please Help!:fro:

check the idle screw. sounds like the servo is holding the carb at idle instead of the screw, so when you hit the breaks, it closes the carb all the way, killing the car, if that isnt it check the clutch.

sounds like a clutch problem to me.

Bearings or spring could be shot.
