I have to agree 100%. If you can't get an engine up to proper temps you are only ruining the engine by running it. Anyone who tells you other wise does not know what they are talking about. Glow engines have a break-in for a reason, if you don't do it right you can't expect it to run right or last long. Better to wait until it warms up.

What he said!

PSH! Someone's gonna be asking why their 5.9 won't run anymore.:whhooo:

PSH! Damn skippy.

Then he will just be PSH-ing it around making "Vroom vroom" noises...

You can break it in indoors, if you have a garage you can just let it idle through tanks, or so the asian midget on youtube said...

Looks like a badass rig man

PSH, I'm in 6 foot of snow and went bashing today w/ my Savage XL, break that in ASAP GOOD SIR!! 8)
If anyone without a lot of experience read that post, IGNORE it.
doode7, if you want to give out information that is totally incorrect and can damage the engines of people that rely on us for good information, you'll be called out for it.

You should listen to Rolex....He does his break ins by hand in his living room. The sound his engines make if just amazing.....srsly....you got to hear it!

No, for real though.....while it may be possible to do in cooler weather I would strongly strongly advise against it in actual COLD weather. Even in cooler weather you have to really know what you're doing and take precautions to make sure the engine gets up to temps and maintains them as is necessary.

Same thing applies to running nitros in the snow. If you manage to get your rig up to temps and running good all it would take is one bad wreck or good jump into a snowbank to potentially lock that motor up. If enough snow hits it all at once you might as well have jumped it into a lake.

Just my :2cents:

Nice price on that Truggy btw, I've never owned a Trophy Truggy is it 1/8 or 1/10 scale.....if its 1/8 (which I believe it is) then thats a helluva good price.

@ everyone, I retract my statement, I was just trying to be fun :-/. Didn't actually mean it seriously and I apologize.

Good to see the community will call out bad advice right away :). Again I didn't mean anything I said as a serious suggestion just as a "go get em!" and no disrespect at all!

Keep us posted when the weather warms up :-D as I'm sure you will ^_^.

Well, it's a relief too know you weren't being serious. :hehe:

Finally got a break in the weather today, 60 and sunny. Just put the last tank through it for the break in, time to have some fun!
