Always wanted a Rc10gt. Well I found a super nice incomplete used one locally for $40. Here is what I started with.

Then I ordered up some parts and tore it down.

Then while I was waiting on parts I ordered more parts lol. Kinda got sucked down the aftermarket rabbit hole.

I believe this was a team issue model. Had bump start engine and MIP CVD’s. I chose the traxxas .15 because I know the engine well and it was cheap. I converted the engine mount to the pullstart mount and bought the correct Associated bell and clutch. Dropped right in. Used the traxxas exhaust as well.

Nice. I had one back in the day and i really enjoyed that stadium truck. I might have some parts for it somewhere. Do you have a body for it yet?

Looks good! I like the Traxxas Pro .15 too. Great little engine. I have 4 of them. LOL.

The Traxxas .15 doesn't have much power. You won't be able to put on 16 or larger clutch bell. Stuck with the 14-15. Good find but parts are getting hard to find and if you do find $$$$$ The slipper clutch and brake parts are gone. The body is imposable to find as you have the long wheel base. The black tub you can still get bodies for. But you can't gear it up much faster as the motor mount doesn't move as much. I machined a custom motor mount for the black tub to allow for larger clutch bells. I can put in a 18 tooth max with a 66 tooth spur gear. The best motor for the GT is the Os
.18cvr. I have 18 trucks.

Adding all the BLINg just slow it down.

The Traxxas Pro .15 has been holding up just fine. Been running the RC10GT back and forth in the back yard.
Good to here that you are still running the GT ,you all talking about them ,makes me want to pull mine out off of
the shelf ,in fact ,if I wasn't in the process of moving ,I would build another one as I got some good parts to start
another build!

But glad to here that you are still enjoying yours as well!.......:thumbs-up:

I hear you man. Seeing all these older builds like the RC10GT's, the Clod busters and such really makes me want to go out and get one to restore. The new stuff is REALLY awesome, but there is certainly something about the older stuff that is still just so cool.

I had one when they first came out. I liked it but just never got the hang of nitro. You should enjoy that truck it was always easy to work on
