KX are you still runnin the C-hub steering?
is that what parts you're breaking mostly?
if yes, then try the PBS steering setup....you can convert the whole buggy for 75 bucks for NIP parts...or find a flea-bay deal......best upgrade you can do to that thing.....unless you get the Ti and Aluminum C-hubs and knuckles.....also most of the steering components on the 9.5 pro are interchangeable w/ the Kyosho 7.5 models......good to know when you need parts......

Thanks for the knowledge. The C-hubs aren't doing me bad, but I have the extra PBS suspension, maybe I will give it a try. But actually, Its just getting old. There is a ton of slop everywhere (almost any pivot point). I am just looking for that new car feeling again.

I will probably be holding off on any new car upgrades though, its getting to be dirt bike season (in Sept. it will start venturing below 100 on occaison). I have an '03 YZ250 with a smoked motor (parts come in this week!) that needs to get re-built before the dune trips in the fall. So that will be sapping my funding for a while.

That is one thing I am looking forward to though, dune trips with the buggy (and bike) and a set of Pro Line Slingshots. My buddy brought his buggy on a couple of trips, its so fun because you can build a huge dune jump with a freakin' shovel, in like two minutes. Nothing like trying to build one in the dirt. Plus, the rooster tails, ahhhh the roost.

For you east coast people, you have to at least once in your life, visit the Imperial Sand Dunes in Glamis, CA. Elevation changes that just can't happen with dirt. One second you are 300 feet up, the next second you are in a ten story bowl. On a holiday weekend like Thanksgiving, its a 300,000 person party(not exaggerating). Do a search online for pictures, its Disneyland for adults.

Edit: My appologies to mods for such a long off topic rant.

Not to go off topic, but what makes the Hyper 7 TQ Sport so cheap? Its the cheapest of any Hyper kits I can find. I am thinking about buying one (Nitrohouse has them for $289), because I have come close to replacing every single part on my 9.5 pro at least once now, and I could use a change in scenery. I figure it doesn't have all the carbon fiber options and what not, but does it still have the lay down radio tray?

Because it's just a hyper 7 RTR ($400 for rtr) that's unassembled, w/o engine, and w/o radio gear. It's a good kit tho. Parts fit/finish isn't too good tho... And, 1 bottle of diff oil is plenty for one diff, you use like 1/5 of the bottle maybe filling up one diff.

Looks great man! Also look at a Vantage Racing Low End pipe I can make a good deal on it since you got the kit and motor from me.

Again good job on the build and have fun with it!

Sounds good, I'll come to you when I need a new pipe, I do like those vantage ones....the CF is sooo cool...lol. :D

Ok, well here's the pics of it w/ the very crappy painted body, and the new tires/wheels...

Looks good cvec. Isnt she a beauty. Love my hyper 7. The only thing I have done so far is bend a hingepin. It was completely the drivers error.

I still have yet to really test this thing because I have no good bashing spots, and my track dates keep getting pushed back further and further. Plus I don't want to break anything by bashing w/ it when the lhs might not have parts and then my track days would get pushed back further and further....plus cash is short for me now and I'd prefer not to have to spend any of the little I have...
I was gonna race it today, but couldn't due to some issues, and I hope to race it next weekend if I'm not busy...

lol, I got a few on there... I just don't like putting decals on there to stuff I don't have on the car itself... too bad I don't have any hitec or futaba decals..

Thanks man, I'm jus sooo anxious to get it to the track....at the rate I'm goin now, I'm goin to develop an anxiety disorder before I get to the track...lol.

I can't decide which servo I like better for steering tho, the 645MG or the 625MG...the 625 is fine for everywhere I've been able to drive it so far, but I'll just have to see how the tires grip on the track to see if I can use the 645 cause on the street, the stock tires jus skid on the street, but the 645 turns them fine.

I've tried the 645 in a few cars..and for the price I dont think you can beat those servos.

IMO the 645 is too slow for steering in a buggy. They go too fast to have a sluggish steering servo.

yeah but the 625 IMO isn't enough torque but it has the speed....if your looking at the Hi-tec servos for your stuff those are the only ones I'd use....too many problems w/ the other models....that's my own experience and seeing others......I'm going to the track tonight......I had to say that cause I haven't been in a few weeks...

Thanks, I already have a decent servo in there for throttle now, and I am thinkin I'll like the 645 better for steering. But, I currently have 3 servos for my 2 nitros, so I am lacking a servo, and will probably get a digital one for the buggy later on...and I think I will stick w/ only hitec servos cause if they break, hitec will fix em for free :)

Don't need digital, I'd recommend airtronics 94358 you can use it for steering or throttle/brake. 200oz @ .10 sec. I have one and absolutly love it!
