so i had this whole idea in my head.. it wont work as of now and I'm heartbroken.
i got the anvil body in today and went to throw it on the ascent for fitment. and it doesn't fit!!!!!
my shock towers keep it raised too much and thats without and body posts, just resting on the towers.
now before i go comit seppuku, I'm gonna plumb the depths of your much more experienced brains.
how do i make this body fit?
or do i need to just store it on a shelf until i get a comp fox or something with a different profile,
it fits much better on the ecto, (looks REALLY badazz too)
but the ecto already has his body and i really dig it.
i wanted the ascent to have the tow boom on the back with the anvil body, but the first part of that plan as of now is not doable.
it really does just look like its a shock tower issue, i need to need a shorter set. i noticed RP has a set for the ascent ( i dig their stuff) gotta go check see how tall they are,,,, they dont have it on their site, but i sent them an email ill update it with the height of the rp towers tomorrow when they get back with me.

I'm gonna be trying out hydro dipping with part of theis body, I'm gonna go ahead and paint her up later this week when the paints, dip, activator, and a few other things for it come in.
after seeing it on the Old Man,..... I'm not against just slapping it on and swapping bodies, but the powerwagon body doesn't want to seat properly on the ascent either lol. this guy smh..

I agree with Brady. Start small. Cut pockets out. Keep cutting until you get it where you want.

If you don't want to do that, find some shorter shock towers and lay the shocks back.

Personally, I think the shock towers poking through the top would be a cool looking aesthetic. Would give it a Mad Max vibe.
Yup.

Gotta be mindful of the body mount though. This will likely require a stiffened area in the middle. Drywall tape and Shoe Goo to the rescue.

You really don't want shorter shock towers. Moving the upper shock mount closer to the frame will raise your ride height. Cut that bad boy out and let the towers peak through, it looks really cool IMO.

I had the RP towers on my Fusion and I don't remember them being shorter. They actually may have been taller. But their mass is definitely focused toward the center of the truck like the towers on your Ecto.

What I meant was shorter, laid back shock towers, which would lean the shocks back some.

If ya find the right setup, not only will it lower your center of gravity, but also give you more suspension travel, without changing the ride height at all, unless you want it to.

It also changes your effective spring rate (makes them seem softer).

But I totally agree. Peeking shock towers are super cool.

i did a horrible hack job sadly, gottta trim it up when i get a sharper blade, but i did chop the hood up a little,
