Sorry to hear about your grandmother, hope she does ok. When you get around to doing the project post up again and let us now. Good luck.

You know if you want to talk about sissy ideas.. about 3 years ago, my neighbor kid friend and I were bored. We put a weedeater motor on a scooter. We used bungies to hold it on, and puta piece of rubber hose on the output shaft to rub on the tire. The bungies held engine on, and put tension on the tire, so basically the engine was hinged, and the shaft forced against the tire.

The Sissy thing, back then the only scooter we could find with large enough air filled tires was pink with flowers lol..

That year I belive everyone's weedeaters went missing for some reason :D the stress he put on them was too much and they kept burning up. The bungies would melt, and the engines would fall off. We would even wrap tons of friction tape on the shaft to change gearing.. we went thrugh tires like mad.

Stupid idea, maybe..cost effective.. no all manly like.. Definetaly not. Fun, constructive, and a cool way to spend a summer with a kid who would have been getting high with his bother instead..

It was worth it lame idea or not.

Just wanted to show that at least one flamer did not just post once but came back and answered your question. And yes, trikes are still for pussies. Even Jessie James said it one Monster Garage, during the semi truck/ motorcycle build. Unfortunateky it was turned into a trike.
i call bs on this one

like Lykan said iwas fun a constructive lets see metal for free, have the engine, and i will get my parts for like 100 bucks, it is alot better then being like my friend that sits in his basement with is two other friends and brother a smoke, snorts and poop and the onnly time that he goes out is to get food, more drugs,or To screw his girl.I rather be spending my wtime this some which i am learning to tig,and torch, weld and stick, and mig weld better.WHich i rather learn so i can do somthing with my life

iam a welder and do it for a living. if you enjoy it like i do go for it. it a great job

well thats what my dad does he builds and frame steel buildings for a company he handgs panals,so i have acces to welders and any kind of rod i need or any kind of wire i need.the reason i want to teach myself is because i can go next year then and hve my dad sign that i can take all my CERTS for welding.

Zandor what do you do in the welding field?

Whatever makes you happy man. Don't let others discourage you because of their idiotic responses. Sorry to hear about your grandmother. When you do get back on the project, post some build pictures.

It sounds like an interesting project and Iwould love to see some build pics. Pictures speak a thousand words. Words on a forum with no backup just flash *cough cough* bull crap.

So... Where are the pics of you driving your Vet.
Until I see you holding a sign that says RCNT ROCKS while sitting in your vet Ill call bullshit on your post.

In the meantime, Your flaming wont be tolerated on this forum. If you continue to flame users you will be sent on vacation.

Keep up the original ideas and get to work on your trike.

Hmmm..where to start.

1. If you do not have anything positive to say, don't say anything. Constructive criticism is one thing; coming out and calling someone names or berating their timing is another. I don't care how old you are or what you drive.
2. Personal attacks of any nature are not looked on highly by anyone and are against the rules. If you do not know the rules, I suggest you give them a read (CLICK HERE).
3. You are alienating those that you may want help from at a later time. This is not a wise thing.

Sooooo, step off and try posting something useful. If you restored your vet as you claimed, then perhaps you could try offering tips on how to build this trike vice being an ass and tearing down someone's creativity. Otherwise, shut your cake hole. Anymore personal attacks, and you may find that this forum is no longer a welcome place for you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send them to any staff member via PM.

Sorry to hear about your Grandma. I don't have one anymore so Take good care of her. I hope to see some pics of your project in the future. As for the lame ass posts from the whining kids. Treat them as such and ignore em. If they persist the Mods will take care of em.

I hope all is goes well with your family. I can't wait to see this thing come together. Just a pic of my stupidity.
I will never ride again. Lesson learned.
In 1989, on my 1989 Yamaha FZR 1000.
Hit a curb and cut my leg off. Lucky for me, they were able to re attach it.

damm ratzo thats one hell of a battle scar you have there..you say you will never ride again...do you ever have a urge to ride.and just don't do it....i don't think i could ever give it up..

Yes I do still have mind farts, and want to get another one.
But my glory days are behind me, and I have to think of my family.
Being a Dad has its responsabilities.
It wasn't my first wreck, just my worst. NYC is no place for these things. to many cars.
Broke too many bones at different times.

Yes RatzoRC that is a nasty one, glad to see you came out of it ok. I can't give up riding, but I don't have to deal with big city traffic. Lots of country roads out my way. Not that there isn't still lots of clowns on the road. I have had a few nasty spills in my time but the freedom I get from riding is unmatched with anything else, and the kids love to ride on the back. I'm getting old so have a nice cruiser, I would do myself in on a crouch rocket.
