Looks like I'll be getting something for christmas! Maybe earlier, let's see what happens ...

I heard some great things about this one. Read an extensive review on it and they were raving. Hope you like your X-mas presents lol

There will probably be 3 of them sitting under our (mine and sl0eg1n's) christmas tree .... One for each of us and one for parts. We did the same thing for our serpents. Saves on parts when we race together.

Now diver you won't be able to blame your poor performance on your equipment anymore! J/K Give it 6-8 months and the prospec will be out.

Diver should open a hobby shop, he has touring cars, buggy, monster truck, now 1/8 racing car....

Dont forget about the balance for the Evo 2 engine :)

whenever the prospec version comes out that mean a new model will be released 1 1/2 years later. i like the engine that is installed in the pictures above. i have the jim hotts mod version and just started to learn the where the sweet spot is. i wonder if the wheels have to be 2 degree offset on this car

Well, I have something to look forward to using for next season. It won't be my main racer. I will still be using my Serpent competatively. Something about it just keeps me coming back. Mugen and Serpents have their differences but both are great. My only gripe about the MTX-4, as well as the MTX-3, is the suspension adjustments.

I wish they just changed the rear to a full pillow ball adjsutment that included camber adjustment. I hate turning that little nut for the rear camber. It always gave me hell when I was adjusting the suspension for Team17.

Looks like they took a lot of cues from the VoneRRR and 710 as well.

I'm going to wait for the Prospec model before I upgrade. And I'll get to steal your parts next season! lol

I'd estimate mid $300's. No street price yet but I will find out from Vito at NYCH.

Mid $300 for just the kit. No engine nor electronics.

Of course, rolling chassis ...

I've got everything ready to get her going that same night too.

seems it might be a little off balance with the engine tweaked to the left but what do i know?

Hmmm Maybe i need to sell my LD3 and move into a "real" onroad.

Rob ... you've been living all those years right across from where BARCAR sets up. I thnk it's about time to get the Mugen! LOL ... As far as the engine being cocked to the left, my serpent is a little bit like that as well but suspension tweaking and balancing takes care of it and the car launches, stops and turns well. Also remember, the battery is notin the centerline either. It's off to the right ... all give and take. I'll see what's up when I get it in my hands and start to build it. Between myself and sl0eg1n, we'll get both cars going pretty quick.

LMFAO .... Ross Doggy Dog

When Team and I got back into RC in 02 he heard of BARCAR and started going to a few races. I Had only ever been to this part of the woods once before at the time and wasn't interested in making the 30-45 min drive just to "watch". Then My Girl finds this place in Aug 04 and it just so happens to be walking distance to the races.

But anyway, the Maxima is finally paid off and the commission checks are getting bigger so I have more play money now to get more involved in racing. I'd still rather go play in the dirt but on-road is ok too. :-)

What model Serpent r u running and what do they go for these days, jus in case i get get the itch to be more serious about racing.

I'm running the Serpent 710. Last I saw, it was for $349 at my LHS. The MTX-4 should be about the same. If you plan to get the 710, at least sl0eg1n and myself can give you a better place to start with suspension tuning since the stock settings are too "stock" to really be competative out of the box.
