bells been cleened like 4 times already now from the intiial startup no oil in there. at first i had washers under the shoes like i do on my other cars with alum shoes but took it out cuz i thought my clutchwas engaging at idle causing it to overheat when really it was just slipping. if it slips a lot with 1.0 springs I'm goign to try washers under it and if thta doesn't help ill go to alum shoes like all my oher engines

jim hottinger has also had a P7 made up for the US market, have a look at that too before deciding on the crono

while jim is a great guy and does good work; i get my mills elsewhere. i had already decided on getting a crono 7 port and crono rs5 this week from rb mods. you know- once you find a company you like, you stick with it.

i understand that, i was letting you as well as everyone else know. the P7 is a factory motor that he ordered from novarossi, its not a mod, though he can mod them as well. Jim Hottinger owns fusion motorsports who is now the NA distributor of novarossi motors.

http://www.fusionmotorsports.com is his site....he has some wicked p5's....and the 421b's he does are so strong....lol

i love mine...and thats all i can say...top notch fella and products....

thats right. as ron paris' right hand man for so many years he has to know what he is doing. there is no skill better than one learned from experience. I've seen his motors run and they are wicked, but...well...I've found another which i prefer to use. can't take anything away from jim h. the guy knows his stuff.

isnt he the one that also ran paris of america for so many years? in california? too bad they shut down...i had a paris g1 bv or somethin like that. best mill i ever had til recently.

ot- how often do y'all rebuild your x-5? i mean replace all the plastic through the entire buggy?

how the hell do you know all this stuff corrado!!!!!!!

All you ever needed to know can be found on the grid, but I'm sure you know that. (hard to say if you're being sarcastic :smoke: )

Yeah it is. I find it flat out intimidating. All the pro drivers lurking around and the manufactures to boot. It's good info (when it pops up), but I feel more comfortable kickin it at RCNT. :cheers:

MRX4=teh hotness! Me so want!
yeah its a machine, bit of a handful at the mo though, my mrx3 has had a few races now to get its set up right, but they have change the arms and bulkheads on the 4 so my other setups wont work

My brake linkage setup is all wacked. I think I stripped the plastic threads on the bias adjusters or something. I also don't like the stock mbx5 brake linkage setup. It looks too ackward. I know I can probably buy any linkage kit I want, but what's a good one?

Big Freak, The Dynamite one that I have on my MBX4XR Works Great, I believe it cost about 12 bucks? Check that one out.

DYM2568 PRO TUNE THROTTLE/BRAKE LINKAGE......... 9.99

sound right? I have a set of Dynamite allen drivers and they rock. I was thinking hard about the kyosho linkages, but I think there is an unwritten law about puttin Kyosho parts on a Mugen buggy. :hammer:

what kinds of outer foams fit over the mugen air filter assembly? I think someone said the Fioroni outer foam fits? (mine is junky and falling apart)

i jsut got the cvd boots, do the long ones go in the middle and short ones go on back or front. thanxs
