I have never owned an 1/8 scale buggy or even driven one for that matter.
I am an advid off roader in nitro but I know nothing about 1/8 scale. Only 1/10.
I have read a lot of things about both.
But I will go to all of you great people for your expert opinions.

Money is not an issue. I just want to blame myself for the bad driving, and not the buggy.

Please help me out on this matter.
Thank you all

Are you looking for RTR or do you want to build it? RTR I would get the Hyper 7 PCR PRO RTR or a GS Storm RTR. Kits well I have only bought one kit and that is a Hyper 7 PCR PRO. I am hating life on that one. But I like the knowledge I get form building the kit.

People also say the Kyosho Inferno Kanai 1,2 or 3 are very ggod kits

Good luck on choosing.

Jon

both are the creme of the crop and are the top choice of most racers or aspiring racers.

Its not the money, but if I can get an MBX5 for $500, or a K3
for $750,
If they are equal in performance, I would naturally get the Mugen.
I just want to get the best and not the most expensive.
But, If the best is the most $$$ then I will go that way.
Thanks for your posts by the way

Mugen lovers are going to say Mugen. Kanai lovers are going to say Kanai. They are both top end buggies, choose the one you want.

Error and I love our Kanais and Sky loves his Mugen.

Whaaatup Rob,

El Pirata is right, I would go with the Mugen. Alot of guys have those and race em... there awsome, the K3 is waaay to expensive, basically your paying for the name " kanai" so i would go with the MBX5. Also Fioroni and other companys all make the same upgrade parts for the MBX5, Good luck man

I have not persoanlly seen an MBX5, but I hear that they are top quality, so is the K. Saying that you're paying more for the name is like saying the same thing about Prosche or Ferrari. I like my K3. And I'm sure that I would like driving a Mugen also. As for all the hop ups being for the Mugen, I'd check http://www.rc-nation.com for upgrades for the Inferno.

Hey guys....I know that I always preach Ultimate Hobbies, but they have the kanai kit for 617 on sale right now...can't beat that price!!!!!!

VB

I dont want to have to upgrade much...
This is the second thread that I had like this..
You guys are great for helping me out..
looks like the K3 it will be!!
And i'll check ultimate hobbies.. thanks

Good choice on the Kanai. I would submit, that you do not need to upgrade any parts on either buggy. I have an MBX-5 and have not added a single upgrade. This thing is bone stock, and runs great. Ask Pirata how my break in day was. It was a lot of fun, plenty of speed, and plenty of air.

after looking at both kits carefully I would say that the Kani 3 isn't just more because it totes Yucchi's name. It has a lot of Ti, like half the screws, it has a milled chassis not stamped, LSD, TCD diffs included. Both are winning kits with the best geomoetry, cg, and design, the Kani 3 just comes with a few more hop ups stock than the MBX-5 comes with, but it can be remidied for the same price. Just thought you might want to know the "why" of the price difference.

I really want to thank you All for you comments. Humbolt, you make a good point.
The Kanai 3 it will be.
Also, VBGAGNON, I could'nt find it on ultimate hobbies.

OK. thanks. I will call: thumbup:
