I have absolutely no idea what caused this, and I've spent over an hour trying to correct it.
The up and down with the mouse has reversed, and the side to side is normal. The wheel is normal, the buttons are normal.
I've rebooted, gone through the mouse program, and find no mention of reversing, even for left handed. This is strictly a right handed mouse.
I've also reset the receiver to mouse with no effect.

Anybody know what I can do?

You might want to reinstall the drivers again, that might help. I've seen you can reverse the mouse for game play, but no for regular windows.

I have no help for ya man, wish I could. But I can only think, and laugh my ass off when thinking of you, turning on your computer and its reversed itself on you lol.:wtf: hahaha!

Right now I'm using the stock wireless mouse that came with the comp. No problem.
This is my THIRD Laser 6000 problem. The first one had to be reset to the receiver several times a day. I would randomly lose keyboard or mouse functions.
I got it exchanged for an entire system. Within a week, the keyboard would leave blanks when I wanted a capitol letter.
Exchanged it for a new keyboard. So far (2 weeks) it's fine, now this.

LMAO!!
It didn't happen when I turned it on, it happened while I was using it.

That reminds me of computer class, the teacher had the master computer right. So sometime we would be siting there on like myspace or something and all a sudden the mouse would go buzerk and click off the page. The teacher would laugh but the students woulnt lol. Haha, good times!

I just got back from Office Depot. I exchanged everything, since I went for the extended warranty after the first swap.
I could get the same one, or exchange it for anything on the rack. I didn't care for the mouse that came with one of the Logitecs, so now I'm learning to type on a VERY ergonomic MS Laser 7000. $50 more than the 6000, but a $30 rebate.
The in-store swap is still good for a year.

I was going to say... you could try pointing the mouse in the right direction...
lol

That sucks though! I hate it when stuff that's working all of the sudden does something stupid. My laserjet has been giving me fits lately. Worked fine for years... now whenever I print something from outlook, it freaks out and thinks I'm trying to print to legal paper or something. I can't figure it out either. Makes it annoying to print out receipts and stuff.

We all know that the MS OS is designed to piss off everyone that ever uses it, but I've always had TOTAL success with their hardware. This 7000 has the exact program disc that the 6000 had, so all I had to do was put the USB stick in, and bind the KB and mouse to it and it worked perfectly. What caused it, or why it started I'll never know.

i think logitech has a configuration that lets you set the orientation of the mouse how ever you wanted it.

no why it would reverse on a whim i really dont know but i do know i have pulled this little prank on people in my house as i have 6 computers in here

I've had other ones in the past that could be adjusted for anything, even the angle you held your hand at when you scanned diagonally.
There is no way I can reverse it, even if I want to. That's what really got me. The physical shape is ONLY for a right hand, so you don't even have the option to change it.
The ONLY adjustments available were mouse speed, wheel speed, trails and such. Nothing else.
