Hey guys I have a mrp ripper st II and the inner slipper hub is messed up. The screw that goes into it cut a groove in the plate and bow I cnt tighten it. How tight is it supposed to be any ideas? To tight and it doesn't turn to loose and it doesn't catch

seeing this body brings back memories from 2005 with Losi XXXT (mf and the rest).sorry no help from I

Yeah I have the part just wondering about how tight to tighten the screw that tightens against the spur gear

I tighten mine all the way. But alot will tighten it all the way then back it off 1/4 turn.

I upgraded to brushless. when I tighten all the way the motor doesn't spin the gear tho
The screw I'm talking about is the top one in the pic

That doesn't look like an adjustment screw. Slippers are usually adjusted at the center of the spur gear, on the outside (under the clear cover in your pic).

To me, that screw looks like someone used a wrong length screw when assembling the diff. From your description, it sounds like the screw is so long, it passes all the way through and is binding on the back side of the spur gear?

If you have an Ace hardware or hobby shop, take the screw and find a shorter one. You can measure across the diff housing to get an idea the length you need.

The adjustment is under the clear plastic cover.

There's likely a nut and spring holding the slipper and spur gear (large white nylon gear under cover) onto the output shaft of the diff.

You reduce the slip by tightening that nut, or loosen it to add more slip.
