Any of you folks ever heard of or used this product before?

My wife s asking me to attend a seminar of sorts this evening being given by one of the technical folks that may or may not have been part of the development team (the details are, at best, fuzzy). I am skeptical, primarily because I do not believe there is a magic pill that increases gas mileage (just like there's no magic pill that'll make Jetmech better looking!)
My sister-in-law, who refuses to just go and get a job, has roped my wife into this and my wife added some of the product to her fuel tank in her van. Now, the check engine light is on. I've tried explaining that, yes, there is a direct correlation between this product and the check engine light coming on. I attempted to explain that todays engines (she drives a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan) use computers and oxygen sensors to regulate the fuel/air mixture in the engine and that adding this type of additive may lead to messing the O2 sensors up.
She is asking me to be the skeptic, to ask that tough questions of this guy this evening. I don't want to embarrass my wife or her sister (well, I don't want to embarrass her sister too much) so any of you fellas that are mechanics (because the only thing I've had an ASE mechanic ever suggest I add to a tank of fuel is a bottle of injector cleaner) or chemists or engineers or whomever and have some good questions I can ask this guy, I'd appreciate it!.
I encourage you to look at this document: http://shop.myffi.biz/en/pdf/EPA_registration_info_pkge.pdf. Page four is the Executive Summary, which will same some time.
Thanks!
