The K&N paper filters?

I heard those are the worste possible filters you can get for your engine....

I dont know if they are the worst but i bet they become pricey cause you can't wash the dirt out of the paper filter so it has to be replaced. that is what I have heard.

Mototsavers all the way

Filters

Something that might be overlooked here is the most common place for a vacuum leak is the carb mount which will bypass the filter, Dirty fuel, dirty gas tank, excessive removel of the air filter it self when its dirty can put dirt down the intake.Excessive oil on the filter makes it a dirt magnet I like K&N filters but the housing is a bit heavy :2cents:

K&N filters are not made for rc use.

Read this.

Not true they have a whole line of RC filters and are coming out with more soon I have seen the K&N filters tested aginst other filters on a flow bench and they do have a lot better flow but I'm not a expert on filters but some times a product get's a unfair shake and the rumors start flying that it's crap when it really isn't

I've also seen K&N Filters for Rc's. It uses a completely different charging system than there 1:1 filters. And they are just as washable and reusable as other filters. its not a paper filter, but more of a woven type screen meterial. I myself think there just Hype to go with the superchargers and Nos poop they try to market for Rc's, but there out there.
