Good afternoon everyone. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I have a Losi SCTE with a castle motor and ESC. I was running it in grass today pretty hard. The motor temp got up to 175. The battery got up to 131 degrees. Are these temps normal. The battery I was running is a lipo 2s 25c 5000 mah. Thanks for your help.

I personally dont let my motors get over 160F if I can help it. 175F isnt terrible but its borderline. I dont like my lipos getting over 100F and Id say max temps on a battery that i would feel comfortable with is about 110F. You can bring both of these temps down by lowering your pinion or not running in grass. If you battey continues to get to hot but your motor does not then you need a higher C rated lipo.
