1989 I wrecked my Yamaha FZR 1000.
Same as Monkey Wrenches situation, only it was fuel on the road.
I came around a sharp turn, dumped the bike, slid down the road with the bike laying on me, and hit a construction hole and the curb, ripping off my left foot above my ankle.
Reattachment surgery and 6 months of physical therapy later, I can walk.
Also broken in the crash:
right arm, right collar bone, nose, 2 ribs, 7 fingers, chipped left hip, and hundreds of stitches, not to mention all the road rash and reconstructive surgery.
Yep. I'd say that was the worst pain I'd ever been through.
