I just put a wasp .18 engine in my xxx-nt and it rips. The low end is uncontrollable so I'm thinking of this upgrade http://www.speedysracingparts.com/nitrolosi.htm
any problems running off road with no slipper cuzz 44t-50t would allow me to use the full potential of this engine.:ponder2:
i have put a 20t end bell on and it still is a bear to controll!!!

I would say that you would want to run with a slipper... Also you will see more of a differance changing the bell gear than changing the spur gear. THe slipper is made so you dont damange your internal gears.

If you go with their full kit and convert it to on-road, you would probably be ok for awhile. But running without a slipper off road will eat up the trans. Primarily, the monster diff gear. I went through 4 or 5 of those with the os 15 cv-r(x) and replaced the gear with a robinsons aluminum one... I didn't look inside the trans again for about 5 gallons.

went with a 20t bell and a 50t spur it rips but.....

Not too soon after i killed the monster gear. took your advise and put a robinsons racing alumnium gear in place its been good so far......
Getting ready to take the street tires off and try some off road ill let everyone know how she does.
BTW i found the 50t spur at asiatees.com
