I've been running my stadium truck and its been overheating bad 275 mabye but the hsn seems to be good where its at running rich nice stream of blue smoke but i was wondering what the lsn for  if i can't get it with that i try to take it to my lhs.btw I've seen no air leaks or anything that i can think of

the lsn is your bottom end. it adjust your take off speed. turn it in for faster punch. to much and you'll starv the engine.

as for overheating it could be a few things. one of the most is the hsn adjustment but you said blue smoke is coming out just fine.

talk your clutch bell off and see if there is glazing on the shoes and inside of cb. this will cause overheating as well. if glaze is present. take a light piece of sandpaper. i use 360 grit and scuff the inside of cb and around the clutch shoes until glaze is gone.

traxxas top fuel 20% its what i always used and broke it in with it. but its hot 95 every day and really humid but it is really rich like i said before but when i raise the rear wheels off the ground it starts to take off on idle how do i fix that it could be that. but i can't turn the idle down any further than what it is? also can i adjust it by the lsn

I don't think that nitro percent has anything to do with overheating. You can't see an air leak, the leak may not be in your fuel system.

Things to consider/check...

Have you taken the engine apart lately?

If you have, did you seal the carb and back plate back on?

How long has it been doing this?

What engine is it?

just had the lhs rebuild the engine so they should of. its been doing it since a couple of weeks ago when the heat went from 80s to 90s it is a Dtx.18

I say that your leakin man. Get yourself some high temp rtv sealant ($5.00) and take the backplate off put some sealant and close it back up. Do the same to the carb. More then likely it will solve your problems.

ok I'm heading to the hobby store now any way. so ill see what happens thanks

got it running great the nozzle on sleeve were the fuel line is suppsosed to go came loose so fuel wasn't getting to it. still I'm going to sell it cause my dirt track close so its ups in the f/s room check it out i need an onroad

Check your exhaust manafold is it leaking? gas tank? fuel lines? and over looked are the o rings on the carb needles. This sounds bad but if you know someone that smokes put a new piece of fuel line to your carb block exhaust and intake port with there fingers and blow smoke into the fuel line and try to see where it comes out

make sure all of your head bolts are tightened. I had one work it's way loose during a race once... temps climbed up over 300 with only one bolt loose.
