Every part on rigs have a breaking point. You could have very well gotten a lemon part. Don't give up on them yet.
Trust me I’m not I might have gotten a bad batch it’s only $12 bucks like I said I aint buying $70:worth of new driveshaft

But hopefully the hobby shop has them cause I need some tir3s and a pinion

MIP isnt what they use to be years ago ,their quality went down hill ,even their tools quality
went down hill an became fragile!..:yuck:
I was afraid of a reply like this. I would contact the manufacture. Some will replace the parts, others not. It also tells them they have an issue going on if enough people contact them. Hopefullly they care about it.

The people that I know that had issues with their tools had switched to a better brand such as
Send-it RC tools ,they had issues with the MIP tools shattering like glass ,but an RC part ,they may
just have to stick with the brands upgrade part!..

Hey Addict. Back when I was looking to upgrade my Rustler with CVD's, watched a lot of YT vids on the MIP. What I observed was that there is a bind in the CVD at extreme suspension travel.

I went with the ST Racing Concepts CVD. Less expensive too. Might want to consider that as an option. They make a Slash 2WD setup:

STR CVD

But this is a 6 to 7 year old kit that has been sitting around never used intill now

I dont know if they will cause I bought them 7 years ago and only used them this last month
The funny thing is, is that when I did this I got so much speed plus one of the screw heads snapped holding the wheelie bar so it did a lean it got some air and tipped to one side and like a tumbleweed and I saw one of those hex things like the pin and I was oh cool I dropped that yesterday in there but it turned out it was what was holding the driveshaft into the hex and surpriseingly it did another pull and driving back at like 20 mph not when I was going 65 70 I heard a clank of metal and I was like where did that screw come from but then I said shoot did I forget to put the Spur cover on and was that the slipper clutch shaft then looked closer and when oh I chucked a driveshaft that videos out Thursday I think

I was not impressed with the "quality" of my MIP Thorp drivers. The 2mm rounded out after about 6 months. I replaced them with the Amazon cheapos and they have been great for over 2 years.

Just a thought but the Traxxas extreme duty newer part numbers (Model# 6852A) are better than the two older style shafts (regular and the HD). Now they started making an extreme duty kit for some of their kits (Hoss® 4X4, Rustler® 4X4, or Slash® 4X4)

I just saw that and was trying to figure out why they don't list the Stampede 4x4? The Slash 4x4 and the Stampede 4x4 are pretty much identical aside from the chassis, center driveshaft, bumpers, body and tires. So I don't see why that stuff wouldn't work with the 4Pede.
