Okay well my birthday is coming up soon and I'm looking at the minis out there.
i want something that can go off road good and on road. something that can also be easily fixed and upgraded. what all are out there? Thanks.

There are a lot to choose from now. I have a Losi Mini-T, but I think there are better out there at this point. I would lean more towards the Associated mini's. The RC18T and MT are 4WD and would be good for all terrains. Also the Xray M18T and M18MT would be cool. The 1:18 scale market is very full of hot rides right now and those only scratch the surface.

What about the team losi's mini lst and lst2. I've been looking at them alot and seem to really like them.

Even though I really like my Vendetta, the RC18T also gets my vote. At the on road races with Fateddy and robmob they consistently outpace the rest of the field, they even turn better than the RC18R. Parts for the RC18 series are really easy to find and they have excellent aftermarket support.

which one is the most durable out of the box and i would mainly be running off road. i need something fast and strong

I really like my Mini LST2. It corners fairly flat on-road and does great off road. Has the best radio of the group by far and dual motors. Go with the Baja version and it has a Li-Po battery.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with the RC18T from Team Assosiated. A lot of aftermarket parts that most LHS stock or easily found online. The kit versions are better than the RTR, but the RTR can be up graded piece by piece down the road.

I have an RC-18t and an RC-18r. There is nothing stock left on the 18t. Over the space of about 3 months, I added just about every part I could find to the little beast. I did it for the effect it has when I take it out to show it off at my LHS. They are really sturdy out of the box. The only upgrade that it really needed I thought was a better radio. Other than that it was great stock.

The RC18t is a stout little beast out of the box. And as Lessen said earlier, THe parts are readily available.

Add my vote to the heap of the RC18 fans. I have an RC18B, and I enjoy it. It's pretty quick out of the box, and has a ton of hopups available.

Another cool thing about the rc18 series is that you really do have 3 vehicles in one. With only a small number of extra parts you can have either a Monster truck, a Stadium truck, or a buggy. So if you get tired of your 18T, you can pick up a handful of parts and bam, a new vehicle just like that. I'm doing that now as a matter of fact. My 18T is going to be an 18B as soon as I finish painting the body. Just a inexpensive way to freshen up the collection.

has anyone mentioned the rc18 series? they seem to be pretty tough, nice parts support, range of models, and with a brushless setup they are wicked fast.

so i think i might get an rc18 but not sure i dont think anyone knows anything about them.
