The Losi Brushless setup and lipo will probably be your best bet, and if you dont have a bearing kit installed, do that too.

i bought the lipo batt n charger for 50 bucks canadian. it gives quite a performance and run time increase. also in my opinion threaded axles r a must unless u happen to have fingers like tweezers to deal with those e-clips and while u are installing those put in the bearing kit mentioned above .for the brushless i held off since u need to replace the esc,rx and servo as well. lipo seemed to be enuff to make me happy.i couldnt justify payin way more for the brushless and things to make it work then i did the car i will wait til they release a brushless rtr micro or the price on the brushless gear comes down.my next upgrade will be some oil shocks instead of the stock .take a look at the site posted the options for micro upgrades r endless u could easily spend 500 dollars on a micro .
good luck:D

Not necesarily. The Losi exceloron brushless setup for it comes with everything you need, i believe.

i thought so too but u need a new rx and servo .i was just passing along my experience.though i was wrong in sayin way more then the car itself since horizon now sells the kit u need to convert to brushless for 37.99 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB0830 plus the motor and esc 49.99 http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=LOSB9594 it cannot be done with just the motor esc combo i have tried.so for 87.98 brushless can be done now which is cheaper then when i tried to do it and 2 dollars cheaper then purchasing a new micro
