i was wondering what everyone's opinions were on losi's micro desert truck and even the mini desert truck. I'm looking to get an electric thats somewhat inexpensive but still worth spending the money on. is there any other camparable options at the same price range?

The micro IMHO is probably too small to actually run outdoors. Inside, it seems fast and fun. Outside... just seems slow and toy like. Maybe if you ran it in a sandbox it may make it feel fast like running it in a room.

I have the micro-T and I really do enjoy running it around inside.

we got a couple on the way, i've driven the micro desert at the lhs, its was a blast, they have a track built out of 2 4x8 sheets of ply wood, hinged together, with indoor/outdoor carpet, the little trucks were rippin, well worth the $90.

cool, i wasn't really planning on running it outside too much, its more for my nephew when he comes over. hes 7 so I'm not gonna spend a lot on it. but i would play with it at least a little, just to keep it up and running

They are great in the house and probably just as fun outdoors IF you confine it to an area that is suitable for it's size.
