I'm beginning to think these are junk can't even get to tune it cuz the pins fly out and set screew loosens up in the drive shafts, its a pain in the ass. the worst part is we aren't hammering on it. oh and yes i use loctite. is there any aftermarket driveshaft that we can use.

In the drive shaft where? Wheels? Diffs? CVD knuckles? Center axle cups?

What kind of locktight? The liquid stuff? If so, try the paste or gel. Works much better than the liquid.

its the cva axle with the pin and collar then tighten a set screw. the part number is 25050 that is for the the whole shaft. do they make after market axles for this truck. so far this truck has broken a 2 speed shaft, and several of those pins and collars and set screws. we haven't been able to tune this in yet cuz of the breakage. thanks for any help. the loctite is a liquid and i'm using blue loctite in the red bottle, i don't dare to use anything stronger.

Oh. Well, I'd try using the gel or stick locktite. It works far better than the liquid stuff.

Also, put a little divot in the center of the pin with a file or dremel, so the set screw has a notch to key into on the pin. That will help keep the pin from wandering out as well.

Usually those tubes that the set screw goes into are threaded on both ends. Put in two screws. One on each end. It would actually let you tighten more without worrying about cracking the pin.

That's what I used to do prior to the locktite and notch method. I do have to say though, I haven't had that issue since I started using gel locktite.

Here's a link to it:
