Hello My fellow Rc Friends..........

The truck i am running is a duratrax maximum st but the original engine was a .12 my new engine is a wasp.18 big difference.
I dont know what to do since the new engine all i do is stip the spurs i bought a brand new maetal spur and it was all ripped up.
I found out what did it it was the clutch nut it keeps comming loose what do i do to solve the problem i put locktite and everythingwont stay threaded??? It just keeeps comming loose.
And when it came loose it got the spurr gear crooked and ripped it to shreeds. I also want to put a two speed in my truck what would be a good choice for a two speed who would make the best 1? or what is the most durable1? i am also thinking about getting proline masher tires.

Are all of the things i put good upgrades for a stock truck ?

All opinions appreciated..

Thanks nick.

You may want to cut your loses now and think about upgrading.
As you get better your Duratrash wont. IMO you will spend more money trying to upgrade your existing RC and still have a beginners truck.

Your talking about making upgrades. Look at the cost of what your trying to get out of you rc and balance it against the price of an rc that will grow with you.

Fast Eddy has a great point. You can pend a lot of money on upgrades. They seem cheap, but after a justt 10 $15.oo upgrades, you've got $150 Xtra into your ride.

Nothing wrong with dropping a little cash tokeep your ride going tho.

On a side note, with a .18 in my stadium truckI noticed I was rippen through spurs like mad. What I did was adjust my slipper to have alot more slip, to make up for the huge powerplant. No more thrashed spurs, and no more drivetrain parts needed :D

Max, I know this is way :OT: , but how do you like that wasp engine? I'm thinking about getting one in the near future.

Maximum, if you are going to follow Fast Eddys advice, a good place to start looking would be either an Associated RC10GT, Team Losi XXX-NT or a Rustler, but that might be contraversial according to some members of this forum, so just try and see how much you are going to spend right now (e.g.: Metal Spur Gear's 10-15, New Shoes-50, TwoSpeed-50) and add it all up, and see if its worth it just to get a new truck. Ill tell you right now that the RC10GT and the Rustler are the most durable trucks you can get your hands on, you can throw anyting at them and they will eat it alive. I do speak from experience, so theres my $0.02

It also depends on wether or not your going to expand to a different type of vehicle a well. one that's a bit more capable.

I got into a used max, ready to run for $225 shipped to my door.

I realized that to gt my ST where I wanted it, it would cost near that. Now I have a nearly stock great condition st to play with, and a beat to death maxx lol
