MBX5 Prospec or not

I just got an MBX5 in a trade. He said it was a Prospec but I dont think it is. What is the quickest way to tell? It does not have the once piece engine mount for one that I saw right off the bat.

If you could post a picture that would help a great deal.

What color are the shock towers, are they very thick?
Are the chassis braces machined?
Carbon fiber peices.

From looking at that picture I would say that it is not. The shock towers are thinner. It does have the carbon radio tray and front suspension support. All of the turnbuckels are metal not titanium.

the shock towers and the chassis braces are the dead giveaway.....the motor mount wasn't added to the kit until recently I understand.....the trays are CF on the stock MBX-5 as well.....the rear axle carriers are aluminum on the prospec too.......

Oh well! I guess I will keep it. It seems to be in good shape. It does have an RB S7 on it. I dont care much for RB but I will use it for a while. This will be my first Mugen. I have always had Kyosho in the past. What parts would you guys recommend I stock up on? Everyone I talk to says the Mugen's break alot.

mugen is the only one not breaking as much as the others!

stock form you want Towers braces and A-arms......I have a set of backup stuff from mine, if your interested PM me.....I sold th emugen and run an XB8 now....also a set of diff gears is good to keep handy just in case.....the shock shafts are what I hear most of the guys SAY, but I have yet to see one theirs bend.....
