what do you guys think of the ofna mbx pro rtr?? shud i get it or am i better off buying some other buggy?? if so wut other buggy do u suggest?

Frank

Good Value

The Ultra MBX Pro is a good value for the money. If you can spend more, get the Hyper 7 PCR. I was thinking of buying the Pro a couple months back, settled for the Violator which I'm very happy with but people like the Hyper 7 better.

I JUST got one...still learning about it. It has tons of adjustments, and seems pretty durable. It comes with an Airtronics "sport" radio, so I swapped mine out for my Futaba. I think it's a great deal for the money, overall.

for the same price you can get some much nicer buggies. the mbx series is a little outdated. instead, you should look at the lightning, x-terminator, and the gs storm rtr. there are other good ones, but that's all i can remember right now

I just converted my violator to the MBX Pro suspension the way i bash i had to have something stronger than the kingpin style on the violator,if your looking to get into this hobby fairly cheap then yeah go with the MBX it will definately hold its own. Good Luck

You might want to look at the swift. No expirence withit though.

I have a gs storm and its awsome. Fast(once tunned properly), starts on the first pull, and can take a huge beating and keep going.

Storm(IMO)= aVERRY GOOD BUGGY

P.S. This was my first "1/8th buggy" so i had no clue on the setup(still dont have as much knowlage as i like to, I'm looking into it more and more)but i have not had any major problems.:coffee:

I have the Hyper 7 PCR Pro and LUV IT!!! This thing is an an absolute beast especially with the Hyper 21 8 Port Race mill I got in her. I just hated putting her together as the directions SUCKED ASS!!! I had a lot of help with some fellow members that have the rtr and pro version of it. I recommend the PCR pro or rtr version from OFNA or the storm for the price range.

ill second the hyp pcr i have one and it can take a beating..i did replace the mill with a ws711..talk about a screemer

REally? I am thinking of getting one from a buddy working at Horizon hobby. How is the power like? That engine is popular to the buggies like the Picco 26 is to MT's

I can't say if they're any better or not...but one thing to consider is parts availability.

you can buy the Swift buggy through www.hobbyetc.com that is one of my LHS and they stock them. Parts supply is an other question. you would have to contact them for info on that They are a good hobby shop so I am sure they will stock parts for them. I have 2 ofna buggy's and love them I have a Hyper 7 pro and a Ultra LX with the pbs upgrade so its now a MBX and think its a great buggy for the price and I beat the snot out of that thing and it keeps on ticking

The HYPER 7 PCR RTR will be my buggy?? Is it worth it to get the pro?? wut does the pro have that the rtr doesn't?? I looked but didnt see any big differences :buggy1: but its just a little more than i have right now. So i am going to have to wait a while before i get it.
