I have a couple of the Crowd Pleaser 7.5s for my Mayhem. I do like them, although the body is a little tall. A guy at the track uses the MBX-5 bodies. He removes the rear mounting post, and puts velcro along the sides of the mudguards. He cuts the body so there's enough on the sides to overlap them and they hold really well. He still uses the front body mount with clip. I've adopted his ideas on my Revo and haven't torn up my new body as bad as I was before. I will be buying an MBX-5 body to try it myself.

vgibbens, thanks. I think I'm going to give your suggestion a try with the MBX5 body. I like the looks of it better than the 7.5 bodies...

I saw one of these things yesterday at my local hobby shop.. it looked really nice.

as I said before I order mine at Victoria Hobby shop in Texas
they order them at Horizon
I get them in Europe in a week
us citizens can also order directly at Horizons I think

I milled my frontarms 2mms and use arms all in front (lesser caster)
now it seems I got extraordinary steering but the rear is very loose when giving trottle
so the steering is alright but the rear doesn't follow anymore...

what can I do best to firmen the rear ???
I still use 5/7/1, 40/40 shocks, red optional springs fr/rr , stock antirollbars
3 degrees toe-in rear

heavier springs in front ? blacks
heavier oil in the rear diff?? (5000/7000/2500)
give only 1mm less caster??
give less toe-out in front (fearly open) ?
use dicker antirollbar in front ?

New Mayhem and have questions.

Okay folks. I am starting to tinker with my new Mayhem and I noticed when I opened the box my number is 3305 so I will suppose it is not one of the "mature" Mayhems. Do you think I got the bum clutch shoes and springs I heard about? I exchanged the rear body mount with a 3x16mm flathead and changed out the cap head screw that holds the ball end of rear tie rod to shock tower with 3x16mm and used nylon bolt. So far so good. Now according to the Horizon Hobby web page I should also change out screws in the front around the steering crank. I don't have any idea which of the screws to change out.
Can anybody help with this??
I also put on axle boots and GS shock shaft covers. Fits like a glove. I went over all of the buggy and tightened everything. My next step is to exchange the dogbones on the center line with the Losi LST centerline axles which are universals.

I hadn't read Horizon's recommendation for the steering crank screws but I'll head over and check that out. To find out if you have the bum clutch, all you need to do is call Horizon and give them the serial number on your buggy. If it's one of the early productions, they'll send you replacement shoes no problem.
I've had great luck with mine. You may just want to check a couple things I noticed on mine. Make sure the steering servo mounting screws are tight and that the servo doesn't move. Mine moved up and down and it affected my steering symmetry. Also, I don't know if you've tried yet, but you may want to move your battery plug in the reciever from the BAT slot to the Channel 3 slot. This will give your servos the full 6 volts coming from your pack. Bumps up the servo torque a bit and they're a bit faster.

the screws you should exchange are the turning points interior at the steering rack, them passing through the littlle turning inserts
also 16 mm and nyllock
check if tires are glued well(after first ride) and little screws holding susp./wings supports rods to torque rods
I thought it was impossible to securely screw a 16 mm/nyllock to the ball end to rear shockholder, was a bit to short, did you succeed in putting the nyllock securely on ?? those alu ball ends are a mess wacking loose....
I am waiting for 20mm long screws

I did put on the 16mm screws through the shock tower and the balls. The nylon bolts did go on but just to the end of the bolt not past the end. A little longer is a better choice.

That is for any receiver that uses BEC circuitry. It's applicable here because the R135 receiver that's used in the Mayhem is that type of receiver. BEC receivers limit voltage to 4.8 through the BATT slot for use with electric cars and trucks. By plugging into the 3rd channel, you can get the full 6.0 volts to your servos.

had to amputate a cvd leg to get the mess loose

any one knows off a other brands wheelnut that would fit without shimms or so ?
else I am out of racing for 2 weeks

got HD wheelnuts set

nice , it got left and right turn nuts
definitely a must !
