how to contact john Adams ?????
This is Horizons Engineering department 217-355-9511. Usually you have to go through one of there 1st line techs before you get to John. Once you do he is a pretty cool guy.

could a mugen one-piece motorblock be mounted onto the mayhem ??????

infact, is the mayhem an all American buggy or is it build also in Taiwan ?????

would mugen mbx5 wheel hub nuts fit ???

so it 's made in Taiwan but egged-out and engineered in the usa, nice combination
seems some beautiful, milled and blue anodized, lower hinge holders with various toe-in and kickup, is being worked out, right now, to pleasure us

with some luck soon, King Headz will make some hot-ups like torque barrs also

Anyone know of the cheapest place to buy the Mayhem PRO? This buggy looks awesome!!! A step above my old HB PRO!

If I get another buggy my choices have been narrowed down to the Mayhem or the MP 777. The Mayhem has a higher bang for the buck factor going for it and my LHS has high praise of it over Ofna and GS buggies.

Test Pro

there is a 4 pages long test in "Car Action" magazine
and a double pub page with a nice picture
about the Mayhem Pro

anyone else in europe got a Mayhem ????????????

set up :

if the buggy is wobbly you have to change the original oil in the shocks , it's only some 30wt and put in some good label, 40wt, if you want to stay close to the stock
also put 6mm front and 4mm. rear, pressure on springsnuts

the differentiels; the same thing: change the oils, at least the center one , into 7000 wt
the front 5000 wt and in the rear one , I use 1500wt
(blend 1000/2000)

track widths : 305 mm.
2 spacers behind the rearhub below : short wheelbase
camber angles : 0,5 degrees
ride heights : drive shafts level
tires : knuckles 2.0 - M2 compound
or on dusty loaded tracks, spikes tires, like Jolly
but I drive french tires DLD, unknown overhere, like panthers

http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload3/zz.jpg
http://upl.silentwhisper.net/uplfolders/upload9/scrape_DLD.jpg

front caster position: all forward( even cut 2mm. in front of top suspension arm , for less caster)
front toe-out : 1 degree
roll bar : stock or 2.0
check pillowballs regulary, so they don't get loose or to dirty(drag)

rear toe-in : stock 3 degrees (or 3,5)
roll bar : stock or 2.5

shocks: springs : black stock or red optionals
pistons stock
front : 40 WT
mounting top pos.: outside lower hole
mounting lower pos. : outer hole

rear : 40WT
mounting pos top : inner lower hole
monting pos.lower : middle

I will do experiences with conical hole pistons, like the xb8's , conical on bottom(just carefully made in with 5mm. drillbit)
( less resistence on rebound, 45 WT oil)

clutch : I use kyosho blue 777 alu shoes and stock spring or mugen 1 mm. spring

check if your brakes don't drag when at trottle, I sand mine in, on a piece of fine emery paper, just 0.1 mm. off

option parts used:

4 ti.nitr. front and center shafts
blue anodized radioplate stand-offs
kyosho blue alu clutch shoes
4 ti.nitr. shock shafts
red option springs
ez-on clutch tool
ti.nitr. 13T clutch bell
additional anti rollbars sets

damned - the mugen mrx3 / mbx5 1 piece motormount doesn't fit :arrr:
mounting holes don't have the same distances at all

no one else got any news to tell ? get's kind of lonely up here

Boots

I use kyosho shock boots at the front
mbx5 boots at the rear

xb8 springs are a match too

you need locktite on all good buggies, the only reason you dont need it is when you are screwing into plastic, so maybe this says that your gs storm is only a plastic toy not made for the real enthusiast, anything that screws into alloy needs loctite, which is why most of the pro buggies need a little more locktite, if you gotto buy one lot of loctite whether its fo 1 screw or 20 it still cost you ther same amount so why not have a reall buggie :)

How do you say that because there is a need for lock tite that its not a durable buggie, GS Storm was made to be cheap, not nes better

I don't even think this deserves a response.

well...i got a great deal on a slightly used mayhem..it will be here next week..

all i gotta do is get my hyper mounted and find a receiver and servos and i am in bizness..!

i am pretty excited...

hi birdie
the mayhem is a very sweet buggy, you won't be disappointed !
it is strong too so a second hand one will still be pretty good
it's the idial car for beginner but you get a wolf or should I say, mountain goat, in the hide of a sheep there !
you can race with the best if you put your mind to it afterwards for not much money
