Maxx lightbar problems

I have a Traxxas Maxx and I just purchased the lightbar kit. The problem is, I have a Hobbywing Max 8 installed and it does not have the 8-pin connector to install the lightbar power source. Does anybody have a solution?

Can't you get a Traxxas light bus/relay and plug that into your receiver and battery, then the your Trax lightbar into the bus? Or am I missing something?
