Max ST stripped a gear???

Hey guys I took my Duratrash out to the walmart parking lot to run it wide open some, (since i don't have enough yard at home) well anyway it was running great, just when I think I have all the kinks ironed our (lord knows I have been through some with this pile of crap) but anyways like I said it was running great. I notice that its revving extremely high and not switching into second. I stop it and look at it and the dang thing has completely stripped all the teeth off the smaller wheel. what can cause this and is there a aluminum wheel i can get instead......what gives guys!

I don't mean to pry but in order to answer this question we need to know what kind of duratrash you bought. they have a great many different rc's out there.

oh yes sorry its a maxium ST off course....... put a new spur gear on it today and already there is some visabble toothe wear..... I talk to my lHS and they said its probalbly from ldonuts or if the gears aren't close together.....well i do my share of donuts so that could be it... it is not however the spacing inbetween the spur gear and that other thing, its tight...... I was wondering if braking (slowing down kind) is what is causing the spur gear to strip down so fast, could this be it?

BTW look at the name of the poset that should tell you the vehicle.......DUH:x

Do my car is gonna constanly be stripping these things?
this is not something I want to replace every five times I run my car. And its only the high speed gear its stripping.......:wedgie:
