I would think that anywhere from 2-4 amps would be just fine. Personally I would do about 3 amps. Not too fast or slow. It will take a couple hours to charge. That should do you ya just fine.

thanks, ima go reset my charger i been charging them at 1.0 to 1.5

That will not hurt them it just takes forever....I normally charge somewhere in the middle. I know a lot of folk always charge at the max but unless I am pressed for time I don't do that myself.

I've been steering away from the "1 hour standard" rate (which would be 4.2A for you). I'd recommend somewhere around 2-3A.

i got a kyosho viper r electric boat i'm running these packs in. so far i have put a esc in it, which will prob. burn up soon. sealed the compartment for the esc/reciever/battery with rtv silicone. the stock motor mount broke and the screws kept coming out from motor vibration because the coupler doesn't line up rite and i have stripped the head of a allen screw out "it wobbled before" and i can't find another to order,so i bought this off ebay. and gorilla glued it in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300250830676

now the boat seems to run ok, jumps out the water and does 360s like a jet ski. it's fun to run. but i think i may try to install some type of aluminum trim tabs since the prop is at a angle it pushes the boat out of the water. i wanna cut the steering tab and make it shorter for less drag, but i assume it would make it come out the water even more. sometimes it grabs air and loses prime.

Yup I agree Lessen. I know I have been told it does not hurt packs but I just can't make myself do it. Three amps would be nice and in the middle. It would get warm but should not get toasty like the full 4.2 amps would.
