Being a retires sciences faculty, zm interested in fundamental ways to get boats to travel faster. Hence my thread asks questions like is there a data base for propeller foils similar to those from NACA ? Are any NACA airfoil designs ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAC...irfoils are airfoil, following the word "NACA". ) on ships ? What hull shapes and surface finishes make for most efficient hydrodynamics ? Since model aeroplanes have wind tunnels, are there any model ship basins for RC not hull design https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_model_basin. I found info on Charles Parsons' groundbreaking work on ship propellers was responsible for the incredible performance of his first steam turbine ship H.M.S. TURBINIA ( THE OCEAN GREYHOUND ) Now, here would be a FAST, SLEEK, SCALE RC Ship.
