Man this weekend I went through 3 glow plugs!

think what you want of me, everyone else here has an opinion of both of us. I'm not concerned.

you should also know that not all plugs are made the same. OS plugs are short, which means that they dont fully seat into the combustion chamber. which means your nova engine with an OS plug wont run right. i didnt tell you to run a Nova plug just for the sake of hitting keys. there is a reason your nova plug lasted so long and your going through OS's like candy. ITS THE WRONG FRIGGIN PLUG! if you can't get the right plug locally, order some. you can also run an Odonnel #99 plug.

you think maybe you could leave me some feedback for the sale?

and I'm still confused about your gp problem.

do I need to swap to a hotter plug? Right now I am using OS #8 medium plug

You need to stop running short OS plugs in a long plug situation. Here's a little background info for ya from http://www.rc10gthobby.com/~mystracing/Nitroind.htm and it applies to all engines.

"Mopar discovered that when the spark plug fires in a combustion chamber the fuel burns from the point of origin (the spark plug) in a circular direction horizontally. This direction the fuel burns is known as the flame front. They also discovered that the fuel burns in more linear fashion from the spark plug toward the piston. This is the reason they produced the Hemi. A hemispherical combustion chamber burns the fuel more efficiently than any other type.

The OS .12 CV has a hemispherical combustion chamber. That's kind of a cool bit of trivia because you can tell people your running a Hemi in your GT. The real reason I explained this is to point out the importance of the shape of the combustion chamber. If you use a OS plug in an O'donnell or MIP head (which use the longer plugs) the shape of the combustion chamber is altered and power is lost because the flame front is messed up. The shorter plug also reduces the compression of the engine. I know that was a lot of explanation for a simple point but it's important that you run the correct type of plug in the head."

I don't think anything of you really because I don't know you.....I don't really care about what anyone on this board thinks of me because not one of them knows me personally so anything they have to say about me is irrelevant.

Thanks for the recommendation on the plug. Finding the Nova. #6 plug isn't easy and I have to find them for sale anywhere locally. A friend had a Nov. #6 in his box and I have been using it without problem and I am back in the good temp range (210-220 after a 15 minute main).

Switched plugs from OS to Nov. #6 and everything is fine and dandy......smoked the field in my A-main on Sat. and the pulled the plug and it looks happy as a clam.

good deal, before i seen you fixed your prob with the plug, a real dirty air filter can also eat plugs, just thought i would throw that out there LOL. that is the first thing i was told/learned when i got my RB's, about the short os plugs that is. you can use a McCoy 8 or 9 also. but to me a RB or novarossi plug works best.

Thanks for the tip....cleaning the filter was the first thing I did...3 stage Motor saver filter....it was a little dirty but not flithy but I cleaned it anyway to rule it out.

When I have problems like that the first thing I do is pull the plug check it, replace if necessary, clean air filter, then check the carb for leaks, then the head for leaks, replace the fuel line, and finally check the tank if any of the other stuff doesn't work....the above process has worked 100% of the time until just recently

RustlerDood, on this site it's customary to leave a feedback for people who you have traded with. As we can tell from untchbl's feedback profile, you haven't said anything about the trade:

https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/traderratings.php?u=1364

Just a heads up.

Tried to leave feedback last night but I kept getting an error when submitting....sorry about the delay but feedback has been left...got any other buggies for sale?

No buggies currently, however I do have a pretty extensive rc10gt and parts lot that is up for sale for cheap couple engines, tires, body, and all. :D

Thanks for the feedback. I'll make sure to leave you some as well.

Brandon
